PopWrap’s interviews with Nina Dobrev & Stephen Amell: “It’s survival of the fittest.”

Looks like it’s “Vampire Diaries” week at PopWrap. After posting his interview with former guest star Stephen Amell, Jarett Wieselman has published his Nina Dobrev chat today. The actor, who played Brady, comments on filming “Daddy Issues” with Candice Accola, auditioning for Mason and Elijah as well as his other projects.

PW: I’m guessing that happened after filming Caroline’s torture scene?
Stephen: Yes. That was a really fun scene, and all the credit there goes to Candice Accola. She was the one with small explosives strapped to her arms, fishing bullets out of her skull. I just sat back and got to be creepy [laughs]. That was a fun scene.

On the other hand, Nina spills up about balancing between two characters, Katherine’s different faces, last week’s and this week’s shocking twists, etc. You can find an interesting quote below and go to New York Post for the full story.

PW: Will this finale set up the events of season three the way “Founder’s Day” set up season two?
Nina: It does. There’s not just one – there’s two or three kind of big twists that change the course of everyone’s lives, and they’re unexpected. It affects Damon & Elena hugely. It effects Stefan more than anyone would have imagined. Jeremy’s life is just completely turned around, and almost confusing – you’ll see why soon enough. But it initiates these storylines that will flourish in season three.

More chat goodness: Joseph Morgan, Candice Accola, Michael Trevino & more

May has probably been the busiest month of the year for “Vampire Diaries” stars. They have been giving hundreds of interviews, mainly about the May 12th finale and next season. Below, you’ll find chats with Joseph, Candice, Michael, Zach, Michaela and Lisa. The usual spoiler warning is available once again.

Spoilers galore: Klaus’s ritual, extreme loss of life + the year of the Originals

This season’s finale is coming closer and closer. The closer we get, the more chats surface. As we wrote yesterday, there was a press screening of last night’s episode on Wednesday. Most of the stories contain major spoilers for it (as well as the rest of the season), so I advise you not to read them unless you’ve seen it. This time, I decided to post just links to the articles since there are plenty of them and I feel like you’ll get a headache if there are segments from each one.

More episode stills for As I Lay Dying (222)

Following the description and first look for this season’s finale, The CW Network has revealed more stills from the episode today. They are kind of spoilery, so watch with caution. Check out previews below and access Vampire Diaries Web’s gallery for more.

Synopsis & stills for The Sun Also Rises (221), new Stefan promo poster

Here’s the final poster in the “Ophelia-esque” promo series (left), courtesy of Vampire-Diaries.net. It portrays Stefan and has the rather ominous tagline “Dying to save her.” I assume it’s Elena we’re talking about here. I just doubt it that he would die for Katherine twice.

The official description of episode 21 also hit the Net last week. It’s titled “The Sun Also Rises” and that’s when the Sacrifice ritual begins. In case you were busy trying to catch up with all the news (as I was), you can find Vee’s speculations on the title here. Even though the synopsis is shorter than usual, it contains lots of spoilers, so be careful.

THE SACRIFICE RITUAL BEGINS — With the arrival of the full moon, Elena (Nina Dobrev) tries to prepare for whatever Klaus (guest star Joseph Morgan) has planned and Tyler (Michael Trevino) faces his second transformation. The terrifying events quickly spin out of control, despite an unexpected act of courage. Finally, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) admits the truth to Stefan (Paul Wesley) about a terrible new development they must face.

Steven R. McQueen, Sara Canning, Kat Graham, Candice Accola, Zach Roerig and Matt Davis also star. Paul M. Sommers directed the episode written by Caroline Dries & Mike Daniels.

In addition to the episode description, The CW has gave us our first look at it. Just one more set of stills (“As I Lay Dying”) to be released! Time goes by fast, indeed. Thanks to VampireSite.net again, more images are up in their gallery.

Interview round-up: TVD cast talks season 3, Zap2it sits down with Ian + Steven, Kat & Candice chats

I’m back and so are interviews! In anticipation of this week’s episode, a few chats have been released. Enjoy some excerpts below, more can be found at the links above them. They obviously don’t contain any spoilers for those who have already watched “The Last Dance”, but the rest must be careful.

TV Guide: Vampire Diaries’ Katerina Graham: “If Bonnie Ever Went Down, She’d Go Down with a Fight”

As previews show, Bonnie chooses to confront Klaus and prove that her powers are no joke. Still, Graham says, she’s not immune to typical teen insecurities. “Bonnie is filled with fear. She’s still only a 17-year-old girl and [is] scared, but is able to move forward and face her fears. That’s where her head is at: She can be scared out of her mind, but she presses forward and will do what she has to do.”

Zap2it’s video chats with Sara & Zach: Personal growth, twists and turns

Zap2it‘s @cadlymack continues to please “Vampire Diaries” fans with her set reports. She posted her chat with Sara Canning last night. The actress opens up about the fall-out of Isobel’s arrival, the men in Jenna’s life, which way she’s going to go, etc. You can watch the interview over at Zap2it.

“It’s kind of hard to say what needs to happen now, or what prominent piece of story needs to happen that would fix that. I think we would see some significant Alaric and Jenna time in terms of them addressing their relationship and defining it.”

Just an hour after Know Thy Enemy’s airing, Carina released another on-set interview. This time, it features Zach Roerig. He comments on Matt’s growth, the recent events around him and his reaction to Tyler’s impending return. Play the video below for more scoop and Zach’s blue eyes.

Extended promo + Kat Graham’s preview of The Last Dance (218)

The extended promo for next week’s “The Last Dance” surfaced last night. And when I say extended, I mean it. It’s more than one minute long and contains major spoilers. Many thanks to TVDVampDiaries for uploading! We’ll update this post with official CW embed once it’s out.

UPDATE: Now replaced with the official CW version!

While at a Ford Fiesta promo shoot, Kat didn’t omit to say a few words about next episode. She teases what’s to come next Thursday, including Klaus’s arrival and the gang’s reaction to it. The video also features some funny footage from “The Last Dance”. Enjoy!

More from Kat Graham and Julie Plec: Tonight’s “Know Thy Enemy”, characters’ returns & deaths + the countdown to Klaus begins

One more interview with Katerina has surfaced today, this time with E! Online. She dishes about the Sacrifice, what lengths Bonnie is willing to go for Elena to and her romance with Jeremy. Continue to read to learn who the new witch in town is, the rest of the article can be found at Watch with Kristin.

We’re not sure we love that ominous answer and it certainly didn’t put us at ease, but maybe the addition of a new witch in Mystic Falls will help fight evil and keep Bonnie living to see another day (and another season). “Lisa Tucker, who plays Greta, Jonas’ daughter, is coming to town, which is really exciting. Another witch on the scene! I’m always for more witches. The more witches the better,” Graham tells us.

Inside TV has recently sat down with Julie Plec to talk about all things “Vampire Diaries”. The writer spills up about almost every character’s storyline, including Damon’s, Caroline’s and Isobel’s. She also discusses tonight’s episode, next Mystic Falls’ full moon and the season finale.

“He [Morgan] has a depth and an intelligence as an actor, but he’s also got this great wicked grin and these dimples that make him seem both fun and naughty at the same time, even as he’s being evil or very stern,” Plec says. “So there’s a playfulness about him that Kevin and I really liked because we didn’t want Klaus to be a one-note bad guy. The more layers that we can bring to the character, the more successful the character’s gonna be, and Joseph seems to have the ability to do all that.” (Plec says he’s also read all the L.J. Smith books upon which the series is based, and has not only done his research on Klaus, but also the vampire canon and lore in general.)

HEAD OVER TO EW FOR MORE SCOOP.

PopWrap’s Kat Graham interview: “Bonnie always bites off more than she can chew.”

Jarett Wieselman posted his chat with Katerina Graham this morning. He gets the scoop on tonight’s “Know Thy Enemy”, the other upcoming episodes and the chances of Bonnie dying before the season ends. Check out a snippet below and visit New York Post for the whole story.

PW: EP Julie Plec referred to this series of six new episodes as The Klaus Chapter — how does Bonnie factor in?
Kat: Before Jonas died he gave Bonnie her powers back and also gave her the message of how to kill Klaus. So she’s the only one out of the whole gang that knows how to kill Klaus — and probably the only one capable of it. So there’s a lot of responsibility on her shoulders. Bonnie’s the only one who can save Elena and really puts herself on the line.
