Six teasers from Julie Plec: Tyler’s transformation, dead character to come back, can Klaus be killed?

If the title of this post wasn’t enough intriguing for you, here’s a brief recap of what Plec says. In this chat with Los Angeles Times, the producer teases the last Vampire Diaries episodes of 2010. She also gives the scoop about the notorious Klaus and a possible return of previously killed-off characters. Visit Show Tracker to learn if the Original of all can be killed, how Tyler’s transformation will affect town and more. A lot of questions this article raises, doesn’t it?

1. The wolfman cometh: Tyler (Michael Trevino) will finally wolf out during the Dec. 9 episode. If you think the wait for new episodes will be torturous, the transformation period will be even more torturous for Tyler. “We’ll learn a lot about the mythology and the rules of the transformation over the next two episodes before we actually see it,” says Plec. “You’ll learn that while it gets a little bit easier the more you do it, the first time is not easy.” She adds that the show will not shy away from that painful process. “We wanted to show that in its entirety and really make the most of that because it’s a very, very difficult thing that Tyler is going have to go through and we wanted the audience to be able to experience it with him for the first time.”

Ian Somerhalder on his foundation, new Kevin Williamson’s project is in the works

Zap2it‘s Carina Mackenzie (follow her on Twitter) had a chat with Ian Somerhalder yesterday. This time, they discuss his newly represented “Ian Somerhalder Foundation”. The actor talks about his future (environmental) projects and gives information how you can help. It’s a really interesting read, so check it out! Read an excerpt below and head over to Zap2it for the entire story.

“I don’t want to be the guy who sets up fantasy dinners and asks a bunch of rich people for money,” says Somerhalder. “I just don’t know that world, I don’t relate to it, and I don’t want to. It’s so much easier for a million people to donate a little tiny bit, then to get 100 people to donate a lot. What’s really exciting for me in the inspiration realm, is to see kids, people who are going through a rough time or people who have found a tough spot they can’t get out of – to see them become inspired again. It’s the best feeling in the world.”

So how can you help? Visit to find out how you can donate to the birthday campaign. If you’re not in the position to donate or if you’re looking for other ways to help, follow @IS_Foundation and @iansomerhalder on Twitter and spread the word by telling your friends, blogging, and Facebooking about the cause. Join the revolution for a greener, brighter future!

Marlnie: How about something good on The Vampire Diaries?
This Thursday’s episode (yes, it is back this week–praise Jebus!) is not one to be missed. (Dear Kevin and Julie and the powers that be, thank you for not succumbing to the almighty sophomore slump like some other series we know.) The episode is Tyler and Caroline-centric…they are hitting a cave. So romantic! And there is also a full moon coming, which Michael Trevino (Tyler) promises will be a “scary ordeal.” I’ll have more from Michael and Candice Accola (Caroline) coming for you in the next couple days. Just interviewed them both and fell. Big time. chat with Nina Dobrev: “We live and play day by day.”

Nina Dobrev has talked to various media recently, including Dose. In this interview, she talks about her first reaction to the Vampire Diaries’ script and shares her early expectations. Nina also discusses Elena and Katherine’s progress as characters as well as Katherine’s motives. The actress also asks to the one question: “Who should Elena end up with?” Here’s her answer:

“Right now, I don’t know, because Stefan and Damon are so different – each one fulfills different needs or quenches a different part of Elena’s thirst,” she explains. “She’ll grow and change, and the things she needs from people change all the time. She’s still figuring it out. It depends on what kind of person she eventually becomes; that will determine what kind of person she’ll eventually need. I just don’t know.”

As Kristin Dos Santos tweeted last week, she chatted to Accola and Trevino. They were asked if their characters will become more than friends (looks like this is №1 question recently). Many thanks to Candice Accola Web for bringing this to our attention!

Nina Dobrev is 38th Best Dressed Woman of 2010

Teen Vogue have named their 50 Best Dressed Women for 2010. There are a lot of famous girls featured, including Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev. The diva is listed on 38th place, but we think she deserves to be among the big five, at least. Glee’s Lea Michelle, Twilight’s Kristen Stewart and Harry Potter‘s Emma Watson also made the list. Nina Dobrev to “Every role teaches me something new about myself.”, a Bulgarian news agency, has a chat with Nina. She discusses her career, the honour of being part of a show like “The Vampire Diaries” and her native land, Bulgaria. Dobrev also makes us, Bulgarians, feel dignified, saying: “Everyone who knows me knows I am Bulgarian and that I am proud of it!” Bow!

What is it that you have gotten from your acting experience so far; how have you benefited from it as an actor? For example, was there something particularly special for you with respect to The Vampire Diaries?

In The Vampire Diaries I have the unique opportunity to play two characters that are so completely different from one another. This is a rare and special opportunity and I am extremely lucky to play two great characters on an amazing TV show. It is a challenge every single day, but I love challenges so it’s a good thing!

Our very own Nina was interviewed by Toronto Sun last week. They posted their chat yesterday and, trust me, you don’t want to miss it!
