New stills, song list & ratings for The Sun Also Rises (221)

Nina Dobrev Fans, a fansite dedicated to the lovely actress, has found some new stills from last episode thanks to her friend Ali. They contain spoilers up to 220 “The Last Day”, so don’t click unless you’ve seen it. But if you did, head over to Nina Pictures for the entire set.

Tracks on the show gets fewer and fewer with every single episode. The only one featured in “The Sun Also Rises” was “Skinny Love” performed by Birdy. You can download it on Amazon US and Amazon UK. Its official video, which is up on YouTube, also premiered about a month ago. If you liked the song as much as we do, be sure to check out Bon Iver’s original version as well.

Ratings are between 2.5-3.0 millions, again. 2.67 million fans sat down to watch “The Vampire Diaries” at 8/7c. As you can expect, DVR ratings are a little higher with 2.84 in total (love you, too, “American Idol”). Don’t forget to tune in next week for the amazing finale of an even more amazing season!

CW’s The Vampire Diaries was steady vs. last week with a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating but Nikita was up 33% to a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating.

The Sun Also Rises (221) extended promo + song list and ratings for The Last Day

A couple of days ago, an extended trailer for the last episode before the season finale was revealed. As you all know, it’s titled “The Sun Also Rises”. The promo is highly spoilery, especially for the ones who haven’t watched episode 20 yet. It’s time!

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Songs featured in “The Last Day” weren’t many, but quality. You can find them below and follow the links to order on Amazon. Thanks, @cmollere!

1. Cheyenne Marie Mize “Not” – Amazon US, Amazon UK
2. The Vaccines “Wolf Pack” – Amazon UK

Wonder how many viewers tuned in this past Thursday? Actually, they were just as many as last week. Maybe Bonnie has made some kind of spell? LOL. Don’t forget season three is a go. Let’s show our support for the show in the upcoming weeks, everyone!

The CW’s Vampire Diaries was even with last week’s 1.2 adults 18-49 ratings, while Nikita was down two tenths (25%) to a 0.6 adults 18-49 rating.

The Vampire Diaries picked up for third season

As The CW Blog has recently reported, “The Vampire Diaries” is one of the network’s early pick-ups for the 2011-2012 season. Thought that’s not a surprise considering it’s its top-rated drama. “America’s Next Top Model”, “Gossip Girl, “90210” and “Supernatural” are also set to return next fall. Read The CW’s full press release over at their site.

The CW’s bloodily addictive hit THE VAMPIRE DIARIES was also given an early renewal, and in its sophomore season, remains the network’s most-watched show (4.0 million viewers) and the network’s number-one show among its target audience of women 18-34 (2.9/9).

Klaus (219): Behind the scenes peek, song list & ratings

Thanks to PopWrap for offering this behind the scenes look from last episode. It shows the 1492 version of the Stefan/Elena/Damon trio, also known as Klaus, Katherine and Elijah. What do you think about human Katherine? Or should I say Katerina? 😉

Chris Mollere doesn’t stop keeping us updated with the latest “Vampire Diaries” music. He didn’t miss to tweet the tracks featured in “Klaus”, too. Check out the complete song list now and go here for previous ones.

1. Foster The People “Helena Beat” – Amazon US
2. Doves “Compulsion” – Amazon US, Amazon UK
3. Lykke Li “Get Some” – Amazon US, Amazon UK

Finally, here are the episode ratings. They were a little down again, gaining 2.65 million viewers. On the eve of Good Friday, a lot of networks ran repeats and the ratings were unusually low. That’s normal considering the holidays, so don’t worry. The show is most likely to be renewed for third season and you’ll be able to watch your favourites this fall as well. 🙂

CW also ran originals. Vampire Diaries was down 0.2 versus last week with a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating. Nikita was even with another 0.8 adults 18-49 rating.

Song list & ratings of The Last Dance (218), this week’s Klaus promo

There were quite a lot of tracks featured on “Vampire Diaries” last Thursday, as Chris Mollere promised. And they’re all revealed now, thanks to him again. Click on the links next to each one to download it. Huge thanks to Trent Dabbs for offering his version of “Last Kiss” for free download!

1. Patrick Stump “Spotlight (Oh Nostalgia)” – Amazon US, Amazon UK
2. Kula Shaker “Hush” – Amazon US, Amazon UK
3. The Mamas & The Papas “Dedicated To The One I Love” – Amazon US, Amazon UK
4. Trent Dabbs “Last Kiss” – Download for free
5. The Birthday Massacre “I Think We’re Alone Now” – Amazon US, Amazon UK
6. The Manhattans “I Wanna Be (Your Everything)” – Amazon US, Amazon UK
7. The Dollyrots “Dream Lover”

A few hours after the airing of the episode, TV by the Numbers posted its ratings. They’re a little higher than past week, but still unusually low. As much as I hate to say it, I’m disappointed again.

The CW’s The Vampire Diaries stayed at its season low 1.2 adults 18-49 rating, while Nikita rose a tenth vs. last week to a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating.

Long live, one-minute trailers! The CW continues to surprise us (nicely, of course) by uploading longer and longer promos. Here’s “Klaus” one, featuring the entire Scooby-Doo gang. Englishmen! Flashbacks! Originals! Is this real life?

Know Thy Enemy (217) song list & ratings

Last night’s episode was filled with turns and twists. Even though there weren’t many songs featured, they were good enough to make us (or at least me) start singing. And it’s all Chris Mollere’s (@cmollere) fault. In case you don’t follow him on Twitter (what are you waiting for?), he promised there would be lots of tunes in “The Last Dance”. Can’t wait!

1. Piano Tribute Players “Halfway Gone” (Lifehouse) – Amazon US, Amazon UK
2. Snow Patrol “Give Me Strength” – Amazon US, Amazon UK

“Know Thy Enemy” ratings are also in. According to TV by the Numbers, 2.75 millions viewers tuned in last night. Unfortunately, the ratings continue to fall down. We understand that last hiatus was too long, but please, don’t stop showing your support for the show. Keep in mind there won’t be any more breaks until after season finale, so be sure to let all your friends know about the show! The more viewers, the better. Only 5 episodes left till the end of the Klaus Chapter!

The Vampire Diaries and Nikita each returned down a tenth with adults 18-49 from their last original episodes.

LATE-NIGHT RATINGS – AT TV BY THE NUMBERS.

PopWrap’s Kat Graham interview: “Bonnie always bites off more than she can chew.”

Jarett Wieselman posted his chat with Katerina Graham this morning. He gets the scoop on tonight’s “Know Thy Enemy”, the other upcoming episodes and the chances of Bonnie dying before the season ends. Check out a snippet below and visit New York Post for the whole story.

PW: EP Julie Plec referred to this series of six new episodes as The Klaus Chapter — how does Bonnie factor in?
Kat: Before Jonas died he gave Bonnie her powers back and also gave her the message of how to kill Klaus. So she’s the only one out of the whole gang that knows how to kill Klaus — and probably the only one capable of it. So there’s a lot of responsibility on her shoulders. Bonnie’s the only one who can save Elena and really puts herself on the line.

Zap2it’s first look at Joseph Morgan as Klaus

HUGE thanks to Zap2it for releasing the first still of the highly anticipated Klaus. It’s from same-titled episode 19, where Joseph Morgan makes his debut. Even though it shows him (along with good old Elijah and Katherine’s back) back in 1491, it’s more than enough to whet our appetite. Read Zap2it‘s article at their site.

Episode 20 & 22 (season finale!) titles, additional stills from season 2

Spoiler TV has recently revealed the CW primetime schedule for the entire season. Thank God, there won’t be any other breaks this year until after the finale. The schedule also shows episode 20 title – “The Last Day”. Last dance, last day… poor Mystic Falls residents, I would say!

Plus, Ian Somerhalder announced the start of season 2 finale shooting yesterday. Right after that, he tweeted a photo of his own copy of the script (right). It is titled “As I Lay Dying”, written by TBD and directed by John Behring (“Plan B”, “The Last Dance”). I’m with mixed feelings about this – happy that the cast will be finally able to catch a break, but also sad that it’s that time of the year again.

It’s here-Season finale episode (ep222) of TVD.Wow,44 episodes in 24 months.Almost 3pm,got out of bed,coffee and new script- awesomeness…

Andrea at Vampire Diaries Web has added yet another batch of extra stills and BTS pictures to their gallery. There are images from almost every single episode so far as well as a few from next week’s “Know Thy Enemy”. They’re honestly awesome, so be sure to visit the site and look through them!

UPDATE:

Vampire-Diaries.net reported the last unknown season 2 episode title last night. According to them, episode 21 will be the one where “The Sun Also Rises”. Vee also let her imagination loose and shared her thoughts on the recently revealed titles. Check them all out here. Some really interesting references there!
