Paul Wesley featured in WWD Magazine, talks acting and Vampire Diaries

Paul Wesley is featured in Women’s Wear Daily today’s issue. Besides the awesome photoshoot, they had a nice, long talk. Excerpts can be found below. They discuss the vampire obsession giving through the generations, the success of the show, his character Stefan and more. Find the rest of the article as well as more photos at Lovely Sucks.

“Season one was incredibly taxing on me because I got a little too almost method and it got a little bit intense for me as far as affecting my personal being,” says Wesley (though obviously not literally method considering his character’s proclivities). “I’ve made a very conscientious decision to try not to take home what I do at work, which I was not really capable of at first. But I realized, this is a marathon, not a sprint, so I’m preparing myself for the long run.”

And thanks to Vampire Diaries Online for the heads up on this Katerina chat with Hartford Courant. In it, she talks about her future projects, the pleasure of playing Bonnie Bennett and her 2011 resolutions. On December 31st, Graham’s hosting a New Year’s Eve party held at the Shrine at MGM Grand Foxwoods. If you’d like to welcome 2011 with the actress/singer (and are at least 21), feel free to go! Select your tickets at Shrine’s official website.

Q: What is next for you professionally?

A: I have a movie coming out [in February] called “The Roommate,” and it is really cool. Then I have “Honey 2” coming out after that. Then there is “Vampire Diaries” and the CD, so I am keeping myself busy. I am hoping to do some traveling and meet more of my fans. I like to do a luncheon in the places I perform for those who aren’t 21 and can’t get into the club venues. I am trying to get an early flight to Connecticut so I can have one on Friday.

Paul Wesley in Hollywood with Torrey, December 26th

Paul Wesley paid a visit to the ArcLight Theatre on Sunday, December 26th. According to the actor himself, he watched “Rabbit Hole” with girlfriend Torrey DeVitto (“One Tree Hill”, “Pretty Little Liars”). Being extremely nice to paparazzi, Paul also shared they had a good time on Christmas. Poor him, looks like his ankle hasn’t competely healed yet. Photos, courtesy of Zimbio. Thanks to HollywoodTV for the video.

Nina Dobrev covers Flare: “I don’t see myself any differently than I did a few years ago.”

Nina has done a cover shoot for Flare’s February 2011 issue lately. She has also opened up about the diary she’d love to read, her most memorable day and the best date she had. A snippet can be found below, read more over at Flare. For the rest of the interview, pick up Flare Magazine’s latest issue hitting newsstands January 10th.

The best date:
“It’s a toss up between two: “[In the first], I was supposed to have a date with someone, and at the last minute I had to fly to another city for business. Not only was he extremely understanding of the whole situation, but he surprised me by flying to meet me for dinner later that night. I was shocked at how far (literally) he would go to surprise, and spend time with me. It was very romantic. [In the second], after a long, extremely exhausting, and emotionally draining day on set, I got back home to find my boyfriend in the kitchen making me dinner. He handed me a glass of wine and walked me into the living room where there was a massage table set up. He said ‘You’ve had a rough day, I have a masseuse coming to the house in a few minutes and after you’re finished with your massage dinner will be ready.’ I almost died. That is what I call romantic and thoughtful.”

More TVD scoop, NDN’s Christmas present + Ian and Michael outtakes

E! Online‘s Kristin has posted her spoiler chat this week. Vampire Diaries questions are included, again. This time, they’re about Klaus and Bonnie & Jeremy. Kristin has actually met Katerina Graham recently, so stay tuned for their chat! Speaking of E! Online, the show has made it to the final four in their Best TV Show of 2010 poll. It’s down to ABC’s “Castle” and “The Vampire Diaries”. Be sure to head over to Watch With Kristin and vote! This round closes on Tuesday, December 28th at 11AM PST. The next one will be up the same day.

@Elliemacb (via Twitter): Any news on Vampire Diaries‘ Klaus? Have they cast him yet? Any other scoops on TVD?

No Klaus yet. I hear casting him is a tall task because the dude has to be intimidating enough to make even Damon “shake in his boots,” per Ian Somerhalder. “[Klaus] is the most powerful,” Ian tells me. “He’s the guy you don’t want to be in a room with. Ever…In order to kill these guys [the originals], there’s such a process.”

Indigo: I am really loving Bonnie and Jeremy on The Vampire Diaries. But do they stand a chance at real coupledom?

That is one question we will tackle tomorrow during a shopping trip with Bonnie herself, Katerina Graham. (A girl’s gotta get her scoop in while Xmas shopping, right? What’s that thing about the birds and the stone?) Any more questions you have for Katerina? Send ‘em to tvdiva@eonline.com or tweet me @KristinDSantos.

Andrea from Nina Dobrev Network (which is officially one of the best sites around!) has a little Christmas treat for all the fans! To make the holidays even happier, she has released some more outtakes from Nina’s Seventeen shoot. Check out a few below and visit her site for more, Nina looks absolutely gorgeous! There are also a couple of new TV Guide photos which you can view here.

Old behind the scenes photo from an upcoming ep, new Vampire Diaries spoilers

A new behind the scenes image surfaced a while ago, thanks to Judy Yam. Since they haven’t started filming episode 14 yet, I guess it’s from 213 “The Descent”. Now, enjoy these yummy boys! One more month to go. Duh…

Also, Katerina Graham spilled to TV Guide. According to her, there will be a flashback (or two?) from the Grim Reaper where “a lot of people are dying”. Expect Elena’s sibling suitors’ backstory to be revealed as well.

When will we get more backstory on The Vampire Diaries— Maxine
NATALIE:
An upcoming flashback to 1864 will give Elena a new perspective on her sibling suitors. Before then, though, expect a visit or two from the Grim Reaper. “A lot of people are dying,” Katerina Graham tells us. “Not, like, too many, where it’s like, ‘Why are all these people dying?’ But a couple of important characters are going to go.”

Zap2it: Carina interviews Zach Roerig, Celebrity Scoop with Candice

Carina Mackenzie let her feelings for Zach Roerig’s Matt loose in a recent article. In it, she defends the blue-eyed character. You can’t deny there has been a lot of antipathy against him lately. Carina does her best to show us Matt in his best light. With a little help from Zach, of course. I completely agree with them, don’t you? See the video chat below and read the entire story (and take the final exam) at Zap2it.

Candice Accola sat down with a Zap2it reporter, too. This time, it’s John Crook. She talks about Caroline’s journey as a teen and a vampire both, the progress she has been making this season and more. Read an excerpt and go here to get more scoop.

“The writers have just taken the show to a new level this season, and it’s been so great to be a part of it,” she says. “I think it’s great to play someone who is in her teens, because that is a time in your life when everything is changing. It’s the very beginning of the journey we call life, and you’re making mistakes and trying things out, and there’s a constant learning experience.

Latest Diaries’ interviews: Cast’s holiday plans, Julie talks dark places, TV Guide chats to Sara Canning

During her visit to the Vampire Diaries’ set earlier this month, Carina Mackenzie also asked the actors what they were planning for the holidays. Their answers vary from drinking eggnog, through deleting Facebook account, to the most important – seeing their family. Play the video below for 7+ minutes of Christmas spirit. Happy Holidays everybody!

Also, TV Fanatic have posted part one of their interview with producer Julie Plec. She discusses all kinds dark (and shirtless), including a new werewolf (possibly) coming to town and Klaus’s casting. Read an extract and visit TV Fanatic for the rest. The second part will be posted in late January.

Do you have any idea who will play Klaus?
None whatsoever. We started the casting process, we’re early in it. We have high standards, and high hopes. It’s going to be very tough to not only hold their own against Ian and Paul, but also Daniel Gillies [Elijah], who a pretty tremendous actor. We’re taking the casting very seriously and it’ll be interesting to see how it turns out.

And Sara Canning stopped by TV Guide to talk about Aunt Jenna. She comments on her character still in the dark, what will happen when she finds out (that has to happen eventually, right?) and how that will affect her relationship with Alaric. You can find a quote here and head over to TV Guide to watch the video interview.

Unfortunately for Jenna, she’s still clueless about her supernatural surroundings and that her boyfriend Alaric (Matt Davis) is fully aware.

“I think if she were to find out it would be such a betrayal,” Canning said. “We’ve seen Jenna with her claws out a few times [but] … I really want to see what she’s actually capable of.
