Bianca Lawson talks her Pretty Little Liars character, Mia: “She’s such a free spirit and she doesn’t care what anyone thinks.”

You may remember Bianca Lawson for her role on Save the Last Dance and recognize her from her role on The Vampire Diaries. She is also starring in the highly anticipated book-adaptation ABC Family show, Pretty Little Liars. In this interview Bianca talks about the show, her beauty regimen, and why she prefers water to products!

Which beauty products do you use on a daily basis?

Bianca: I’ve been using the same thing I’ve used since I was a teenager, which is Cetaphil. I love Cetaphil’s cleansing cream, face cream and aloe vera gel. Those are the three things I always use. I’m always bouncing around with hair products, right now I’m exploring Aveda’s Brilliant line.

What is your fitness regimen?

Bianca: Oh my god, I’m really lazy. (laughs) I am so lazy. I really don’t have a regimen. When I was younger I used to be into cardio and taebo and step-orobics and hiking. Lately, I haven’t done anything at all. I’d like to get into yoga, but I’ve been really bad.

StyleList interviews Sara Canning: “Everyone in our cast is really lovely, interesting and genuine.”

“The Vampire Diaries” took home the Cast of the Year trophy at last week’s Young Hollywood Awards and actress Sara Canning, who plays Jenna Sommers on The CW series, chatted excitedly with StyleList as she prepped for the big night. The Canadian actress filled us in on how she gets red carpet ready, which of her stylish cast mates makes the ideal shopping wing woman and why posture really makes an outfit.

Plus, wanna steal her modern twist on Old Hollywood style? Sara’s personal glam squad for the evening reveals their tips for recreating the look.

StyleList: What’s your process for finding an outfit and accessories for a red carpet event?
Sara Canning: I’m just starting to develop a process for red carpet events. We’re in Atlanta (shooting “The Vampire Diaries”) all of the time and it’s nice to be on our little hiatus and actually able to go to some events. Most importantly I always lean towards a dress that’s really interesting but comfortable. It’s so important to me to have a sense of ease in everything I wear, whether it’s my everyday life or red carpet. And I just love fun accessories.

SL: For this event you worked with a pro stylist, was there anything that you learned about dressing for a red carpet that you didn’t think about before?
SC: I tend to lean towards a lot of blacks and navy blues. She really encouraged me to experiment with color. I’m really happy I did because I got to try on some really cool stuff that I would maybe skip over when I’m shopping on my own. I would go to the more neutral tones. I’m really happy with what we came up with and it’s something bolder, which is a nice change.

SL: Let’s talk about this dress!
SC: It’s really lovely. It’s a BCBG dress. It’s a very interesting color because it almost looks green at first but then it has a gold undertone to it as well. It has some nice detailing on the bodice and it’s really comfortable, super cute and really young. It’s young but it’s still sophisticated.

Celebrity Beauty Secrets Examiner interview with Nina Dobrev: “I’d love to do a feature film in the 1800’s or before that.”

Nina Dobrev is easily one of the most beautiful women in television, and certainly one of the most talented. If you’re like 99% of the population, you watch her act out her lead role as Elena Gilbert on the CW’s hit show The Vampire Diaries every Thursday at 8PM. In this exclusive interview, Nina talks to me about her beauty regimen,  her favorite clothing brands, what’s on her iPod, and of course, The Vampire Diaries!

Congratulations on the show’s success!

Nina: Thank you! Thanks so much. I’m really excited that it’s been doing so well. We all kind of hoped and expected, well we didn’t expect, but we hoped that it would be. We were pleasantly surprised and it’s what everyone wants: to be on a show that people look forward to watching, and I think it’s one of those shows.

Going into it, did you think “this is going to be a huge show.,this is going to take off”?

Nina: I mean like I said, we’d really hoped for it, but you never know. I know that Paul Wesley, for example; he told me that he’d done pilot after pilot, he did 6, 7, 8 pilots before he got this one, and this one went to series and became a big show. But before that, you never know. It’s a chance.

Lip Gloss or Lip Balm? Lip Balm. I use a lot of Rosebud salve from Anthropologie. They have one in a tube and it’s great. It makes your lips soft and amazing.

Flats or Pumps? Both, depending on what the occasion is. I love shoes. Love love love shoes. I just got these beautiful Stuart Weitzman shoes. I also love Cole Haan heels, and they also have great flats too. Cole Haan is like high fashion Nike, so you feel like you’re wearing Nike shoes, but you’re wearing heels. Every time I’m on a red carpet, I always either wear Cole Haan or Stuart Weitzman. You end up having to walk around all night in these heels and you want to be comfortable and not look like you’re in pain. It definitely shows in pictures.

Mascara or Eyeliner? Mascara. I have one mascara that I use religiously and I refuse to try anything else, and if they discontinued it I would probably cry. Cover Girl lash blast, in the orange tube.
