Spoiler TV has recently revealed the CW primetime schedule for the entire season. Thank God, there won’t be any other breaks this year until after the finale. The schedule also shows episode 20 title – “The Last Day”. Last dance, last day… poor Mystic Falls residents, I would say!
Vampire-Diaries.net reported the last unknown season 2 episode title last night. According to them, episode 21 will be the one where “The Sun Also Rises”. Vee also let her imagination loose and shared her thoughts on the recently revealed titles. Check them all out here. Some really interesting references there!
First of all, I’m SO terribly sorry I haven’t been around lately. With the end of the term, I had no time to surf the Internet. I also had some health problems, so it was impossible for me to post. However, I’m better now and will be able to update the blog. If I disappear for some time in the future, it would be because my health is getting worse again. My apologies in advance.
I have lots of things to catch up with, so I decided to start with the chats. In this post, you will find all the discussions with the cast websites have posted recently (old and new both). To make things easy for you (since there are plenty of them), I separated the articles. Basically, if you’re particularly interested in Nina’s interview, you can find them all under her name.
We know we’re really late with this but we couldn’t catch up with all these Taylor Kinney interviews. He literally took over the Internet! Bunches of reporters talked to him lately (find the articles here and here). Here are the latest stories related to the hottie, including a video chat with E! Online (MAJOR spoiler warning!) Many thanks to Vampire-Diaries.net and Vampire Diaries Online for the heads up!
We also asked if that Mason were ever to be magically resurrected, what would that do to change the beloved character, and Taylor told us, “He’d be a supernasty beast that would kill everyone—he’d be so pissed off! I hope he’d have even more superpowers. [He should] come back from the dead with even more [power].”
So what’s on deck for you now that Mason is gone, at least for the time being?
Just reading scripts! The experience has been great. From “Vampire Diaries” alone the exposure has been phenomenal, with the fans and the industry, so I’m a pretty busy guy right now, which is what you want in any line of work — or play, as may be the case for me. We’ll see what happens. I’m so thankful for the fans, for the support. The show’s just going to get better and better. They have a ton more surprises in store.

“I think Bonnie is all about protecting and loving her friends,” the 21-year-old said. “She’s going to do what she has to do to protect the ones she loves, no matter what.”
“I hope. I love when Nina’s just like the bad-assed, kick-ass woman,” she said. “I love doing scenes with her, period, but I really love doing showdown scenes with her because she’s just so into it. I think a showdown with Katherine would be incredible.”

It was an exhausting week for “Uncle Mason”! Besides the three interviews of him we posted a few days ago, Taylor also talked to People and PopWrap. Here are some quotes from his PopWrap interview (where he actually answers fan questions!):
PW: How much does Mason know about the other characters? (via @Valerie Mus1c_)
Taylor: Every week you learn more and more. I think the mystery, and there is some with all them, but the one with Katherine — because she’s so manipulative — is the coolest. There’s no definitive end all, be all answer to what makes these people tick but that just keeps things fresh.
TVGuide.com: Will the tension between Mason and Damon progress? Kinney: It’s been a boxing match from the start. Mason was trying to be cool; he didn’t come to Mystic Falls to kill vampires. It’s why he chains himself up … because he knows what can happen if he does turn. Mason offers a hand and says, “Let’s squash this and be cool, I’m not your enemy,” and then [Damon] tries to kill Mason. There’s a huge amount of tension there and every week it’s going to escalate. They’re not going to be sitting at the bar drinking beers anytime soon.

Why does Katherine want the moonstone?
You have to watch. I can tell you that it has a lot of power. It can do a lot of things. It’s evolved since we started, since talking with Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec about storyline and where things are going to go. I can’t say for sure what it does, but I can tell you it can do a lot.
Will viewers learn how Mason and Katherine came to be working together?
KINNEY: There’s always variables and questions. Not everything is so cut and dry. We saw, in the last episode, that they’ve known each other for a year, but you don’t necessarily know the entire background. Viewers will understand more as the episodes go on, but I don’t think they’re going to see an exact courtship just because Katherine is a mysterious character. Part of her charm is that you don’t know that much about her, she doesn’t give that much away and you don’t necessarily know her intentions. She can be charming and come across as really honest and with good intentions, and then completely turn, even in that relationship. Mason is with her, but I think they both have a couple of cards up their sleeve.
Last week the huge bombshell was dropped – Mason is one of the countless dudes under vampire Katherine’s (Nina Dobrev’s) spell. Will Mason be another one of her casualties?
Mason’s not that naïve. He geniuinely has an affection and passion for Katherine. As of now, if there’s any possibility of her trying to manipulate a situation to get one up on him, maybe he’s molded a little, but I don’t think he cares. It’s one of those things where he met her, say a year ago, and he fell in love with her. That’s in the forefront of his mind.
The Vampire Diaries was up over last week by 8% in women 18-34 (2.6/8), 7% in adults 18-49 (1.6/5), 5% in women 18-49 (2.1/6) and 9% in total viewers (3.5mil). This marks Vampire’s second largest audience of the season.
Vampire Diaries ranked second in the 8pm hour among women 18-34, beating ABC, CBS and NBC. TVD was #1 with female teens (2.2/10).
