Episode 20 & 22 (season finale!) titles, additional stills from season 2

Spoiler TV has recently revealed the CW primetime schedule for the entire season. Thank God, there won’t be any other breaks this year until after the finale. The schedule also shows episode 20 title – “The Last Day”. Last dance, last day… poor Mystic Falls residents, I would say!

Plus, Ian Somerhalder announced the start of season 2 finale shooting yesterday. Right after that, he tweeted a photo of his own copy of the script (right). It is titled “As I Lay Dying”, written by TBD and directed by John Behring (“Plan B”, “The Last Dance”). I’m with mixed feelings about this – happy that the cast will be finally able to catch a break, but also sad that it’s that time of the year again.

It’s here-Season finale episode (ep222) of TVD.Wow,44 episodes in 24 months.Almost 3pm,got out of bed,coffee and new script- awesomeness…

Andrea at Vampire Diaries Web has added yet another batch of extra stills and BTS pictures to their gallery. There are images from almost every single episode so far as well as a few from next week’s “Know Thy Enemy”. They’re honestly awesome, so be sure to visit the site and look through them!

UPDATE:

Vampire-Diaries.net reported the last unknown season 2 episode title last night. According to them, episode 21 will be the one where “The Sun Also Rises”. Vee also let her imagination loose and shared her thoughts on the recently revealed titles. Check them all out here. Some really interesting references there!

Michael Trevino dishes about Tyler with EW: “He has a heart.”

To end on a similarly lighthearted note, I’ve been admiring in recent weeks the number of Henleys the men on this show have been wearing. What is your favorite look for Tyler? Because you look good in a Henley. I’m just gonna put it out there.

It’s funny that you say that. We’re shooting episode 210 right now, and I would have to say 210′s wardrobe is probably my favorite because I finally get to wear this leather jacket with a hood. You know, Jeremy, Stefan, Damon, everybody’s worn cool leather jackets, like GQ-style. And Tyler’s always just wearin’ like a sweater. [Laughs] Something always tight, but you know, I was just like, “Yo, give the man a jacket.” So I’m excited about this because I get to wear a badass-looking  jacket. So 210, look for Tyler in an awesome leather jacket.

Ian Somerhalder chats to Movieline and Young Hollywood Studios

Movieline interviewed Ian Somerhalder last week and we now have their interview. The actor talks about Damon, his early career and his interest in charity. Find some quotes below and visit Movieline for the rest of the story.

My favorite part of Vampire Diaries are the flashbacks. Is there a time or place that you would really like to see Damon explore?
I think the Twenties would have been a phenomenal time for Damon. It would be really cool to see him in some Speakeasy, sipping bourbon with some amazing turn-of-the-century character like Buddy Bolden. Or I could see Damon in the Sixties having an affair with Marilyn Monroe or Kate Hepburn.

A few weeks ago, Ian Somerhalder was at Young Hollywood Studios. After a long waiting, they finally released the video. Thanks to Vampire Diaries Online for the heads up! By the way, the site’s back on the radar, so check it out!

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Yesterday, Ian announced he had a pheumonia which you can notice in the video above. Support him and be sure to send your well wishes! Take care, Ian!

Miami Herald interview with Paul and Ian, CelebMagnet chats to Tiya Sircar (Aimee): “The Halloween episode is going to be huge.”

What can we expect this season?

Ian: The boys are sort of getting thrown in a different situation. My character Damon was the villain last year, and Stefan had to deal with him.

Paul: Well, you’re not really the villain anymore.

Ian: I know. Stefan has brought Damon to the other side to be a unlikely hero with his brother.

CelebMagnet talked to a cast member, too. They interviewed guest star Tiya Sircar, who plays Aimee Bradley (Tyler’s love interest right now), this week. The actress talks about the experience of being part of “Vampire Diaries”, her character’s relationship with Mr. Lockwood, tonight’s “Masquerade” and more. Executive producer Julie Plec answers your burning questions: “No one is ever safe.”

Backing up a little bit, why turn Caroline and not someone else?
Julie: We love Candice Accola [the actress who plays her] so much. We love the bubbliness and the fun, the zest and the sass that she brings to the show as an actress and we thought it would be really fun to explore that kind of persona in vampire form which I think has been successful for us. She brings a levity and a sweetness and feistiness to our vampire story line which I enjoy seeing. It’s an extra source of humor and an extra source of heart that is really helping us.
