Episode 20 & 22 (season finale!) titles, additional stills from season 2

Spoiler TV has recently revealed the CW primetime schedule for the entire season. Thank God, there won’t be any other breaks this year until after the finale. The schedule also shows episode 20 title – “The Last Day”. Last dance, last day… poor Mystic Falls residents, I would say!

Plus, Ian Somerhalder announced the start of season 2 finale shooting yesterday. Right after that, he tweeted a photo of his own copy of the script (right). It is titled “As I Lay Dying”, written by TBD and directed by John Behring (“Plan B”, “The Last Dance”). I’m with mixed feelings about this – happy that the cast will be finally able to catch a break, but also sad that it’s that time of the year again.

It’s here-Season finale episode (ep222) of TVD.Wow,44 episodes in 24 months.Almost 3pm,got out of bed,coffee and new script- awesomeness…

Andrea at Vampire Diaries Web has added yet another batch of extra stills and BTS pictures to their gallery. There are images from almost every single episode so far as well as a few from next week’s “Know Thy Enemy”. They’re honestly awesome, so be sure to visit the site and look through them!

UPDATE:

Vampire-Diaries.net reported the last unknown season 2 episode title last night. According to them, episode 21 will be the one where “The Sun Also Rises”. Vee also let her imagination loose and shared her thoughts on the recently revealed titles. Check them all out here. Some really interesting references there!

Chats, chats, chats: Zimbio interview with Sara Canning, Dawn Olivieri talks to TV Guide & EW + Steven spills up to The TV Chick

Thanks to Vampire-Diaries.net for the heads up on this Zimbio chat with Sara Canning. She comments on her career before the show, castmate Matt Davis and shooting love scenes with him. Tonight’s episode is also mentioned. Read the entire story over at Zimbio.

Zimbio: What is your typical day like filming on Vampire Diaries?
Sara: Getting up really early. I do a vocal warm-up in my car. Then I show up to set and go into hair and makeup; there’s anywhere from one to six of us in there at any time. The cast are my really great friends but also great people to watch work. We all jive together really well. Last week I shot a scene with six other cast members, it was all of us, for one day, in one room, shooting a bunch of scenes. And we just looked at each other and were like, ‘How good do we have it?’

Guest star Dawn Olivieri was interviewed this week, too. Robyn Ross has a wonderful chat with her up at TV Guide. She teases tonight’s “dinner party”, what the future holds for her and how long Andie will stick around town.

Mandi Bierly caught up with Dawn as well. The star dishes about Damon’s compulsion on her character, how it affects her as well as the struggle she’s going through. Visit Inside TV for all this + some great stories.

Also, The TV Chick posted her interview with Steven R. McQueen today. The actor discusses THE kiss, the consequences of it, the relationship between the Gilberts, etc. And here’s what he’d like to see next for Jeremy:

And what would you like to see from Jeremy coming up in the 2nd half of season 2? He’s really taken on this nice big role.
I think it’d be interesting to see him be more involved with his family legacy and starting to get involved with the training of being a vampire hunter. Whether Alaric takes him under his wing, or Uncle John, and just kind of get mentored in the right direction.

Head over to The TV Chick for the rest of the article.

MTV’s Valentine video with Nina, more from Katerina’s Troix shoot + chats with Ian, Steven & Daniel

MTV recently caught up with Nina Dobrev to talk about Valentine’s Day.  She mentions Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing” and her actual opinion on February 14th. Also, she speculates on how Elena and Katherine would celebrate it. Play the video to learn her answers and MTV has a short article. Thanks, Vampire-Diaries.net!

Vodpod videos no longer available.

In addition to Katerina Graham’s cover for Troix, Vampire Diaries Web France has more from the shoot. Kat looks absolutely stunning, I’m speechless! There’s an interview with her featured in the magazine as well. Previews can be found below, head over to their site for more HQs (+ scans).

Finally, a bunch of chats have surfaced today. First, Daniel Gillies did an interview for TV Fanatic. He dishes about his character and the deal he made with Elena, Klaus (a.k.a. Joseph Morgan) as well as future projects. Visit their site for the entire interview.

Laura Prudom sat down with Ian Somerhalder to discuss all things “Vampire Diaries”. The hottie answers questions about emotional (and evil) Damon, his interactions with Andie and Jules and Damon’s part in the upcoming vampire-werewolf war. He also gives some scoop on episode 15 “The Dinner Party” (featuring flashbacks) and his Ian Somerhalder foundation. The full chat is available at TV Squad.

Mandi Bierly from EW goes to Steven R. McQueen for spoilers. And he doesn’t let us down either. Steven comments on Jeremy’s relationship with Bonnie and John Gilbert. Plus, he tells us whether we’ll see him by Damon’s side again any time soon. The article is up over at Inside TV.

Spoilers selection: Crying wolf promo, synopsis of 215 & 216, episode stills and more

TV Line has recently reported that the search for Klaus is finally over. The legendary vampire will be probably played by Joseph Morgan. As you can guess, this immediately became top “Vampire Diaries” news. Although the actor’s credits include mostly British films and TV series, he does have some intriguing roles. Back in 2003, he starred in “Master and Commander” along with Russell Crow. Morgan has also played Philotas in the biography movie about the life of Alexander the Great (starring Colin Farrell, Angelina Jolie). Something about his face (right) reminds me of Klaus. I think he would make a fierce Original! What’s your opinion? Learn more over at TV Line.

Let’s continue with the tidbits, shall we? In this article, Natalie Abrams reviews the latest TVD spoilers from TV Guide. She comments on the showdown between vampires and werewolves, warlocks Martin, Jr. and Martin, Sr., Elena’s destiny, etc. Great recap, especially if you haven’t had a chance to caught up with the news lately!

TV Guide Magazine also highlights the top moments from “Daddy Issues” in its 7-13 February issue. As usual, spoiler warning for the ones, who haven’t seen the episode yet. HUGE thanks to tariel22 via @tvdfansonline, the scan is up at their site!

Clevver TV caught up with Stephen Amell’s (Brady) cousin, Robbie last week. He spills up about his cousin’s guest role on “The Vampire Diaries”, teasing he’s going be around for two episodes. It means 214 “Crying Wolf” is his final ep. Why is he gone after only two weeks? Are the Salvatore brothers to blame? That, we’ll see this Thursday. For now, enjoy Clevver TV’s report. Thanks, Vampire Diaries Online!

Official descriptions for episode 15 (“The Dinner Party”) and 16 (“The House Guest”) (click to visit VampireSite.net) have been released as well. Airing February 17th and February 24th, respectively.

In addition to “The Dinner Party” synopsis, episode stills have been revealed. Third flashback episode this season = plenty of Stefan and Damon. Head over to Vampire Diaries Web to check the images out.

CW television has uploaded an extended trailer for “Crying Wolf”. This week, “a romantic getaway is about to get some unwanted guests”. All new “The Vampire Diaries” Thursday 8/7c. See you there!

Interview round-up: IGN chats with Nina and Candice, Ian talks to PopWrap + TV Line & more

First of all, I’m SO terribly sorry I haven’t been around lately. With the end of the term, I had no time to surf the Internet. I also had some health problems, so it was impossible for me to post. However, I’m better now and will be able to update the blog. If I disappear for some time in the future, it would be because my health is getting worse again. My apologies in advance.

I have lots of things to catch up with, so I decided to start with the chats. In this post, you will find all the discussions with the cast websites have posted recently (old and new both). To make things easy for you (since there are plenty of them), I separated the articles. Basically, if you’re particularly interested in Nina’s interview, you can find them all under her name.

Zap2it & EW: More tidbits from the Vampire Diaries cast

Zap2it‘s @cadlymack hasn’t been doing anything but teasing us this week. Following her video interviews with Kat and Ian, fellow “Vampire Diaries” fan published new snippets from Wesley and Dobrev as well as clips featuring Somerhalder and Trevino (click to check them out).

Before things go terribly wrong, fans of Stefan and Elena as a couple will be pleased to see some sweet, happy moments, including an emotional scene where they discuss the reality of Elena’s mortality. After all, if Elena remains human, she is inevitably going to age and someday die — while Stefan will stay 17 forever. “There’s a lovely scene that we do at the lake house discussing that,” Wesley says. “Touching lightly upon it without hitting you over the head, you know what I mean? It’s really kind of beautiful.”

Read the rest of the chat with Paul here.

“She feels like everyone around her is against her,” Dobrev says. “She has one thing in mind: she wants to sacrifice herself to save her family and her friends, and they are hell-bent on stopping her. It almost feels like everyone is against her. Now, her father comes home on top of everything, and he’s in cahoots with everyone about it.”

The entire Nina interview – at Zap2it.

EW‘s recently caught up with Michael Trevino and Ian Somerhalder, too. Michael speculates what could happen when already too confused Tyler finds about the Sun and the Moon curse. The actor also spoils his character will have some serious choices to make rather sooner than later – and they will have quite an impact on vampires and werewolves both. Visit PopWatch for the full story.

On the other hand, Ian talks about filming while having walking pneumonia. As you probably remember, Mr. Somerhalder was sick in the last two months of 2010 – in other words, from episode 9 to 12. Despite that fact, he didn’t go home (as normal people would do), but continue shooting. Marcos Siega’s return and the possibility of “Vampire Diaries” set cursed are also mentioned. Find the whole article over at Inside TV.

Oh, and there’s a “Where Were We” slideshow up at Entertainment Weekly. It includes tidbits from almost every cast member. Must read!

The TV Chick set interviews with Ian, Candice, Kat, Matt, Sara & Julie

Alix Sternberg from The TV Chick has posted LOTS of chats with “The Vampire Diaries” crew lately. After the Steven R. McQueen one, the reporter released interviews with Katerina Graham, Candice Accola, Ian Somerhalder, Julie Plec, Matt Davis and Sara Canning. Excerpts from them can be found below and click on the links above each quote for more. Plus, head over to The TV Chick for her video with Candice.

FROM THE SET: EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Kat Graham (Bonnie) from The Vampire Diaries

And do you have a favorite moment or scene that you’ve shot so far?
The first thing that comes to mind when you ask me that is when Elena comes up the stairs after she’s been kidnapped and I had written her a note. I wound up getting a nose bleed just from that thing. And she walks up the stairs and I ran to her and hugged her. That scene didn’t have any words for me but just having that kind of bond with Nina, [it’s] probably one of my favorite moments just because it’s so real for me. That was probably one of my favorite moments that I’ve shot.

FROM THE SET: INTERVIEW: Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore) from The Vampire Diaries

What has been your biggest challenge playing Damon?
The softer side of Sears. You know what I mean? It’s like (sings) “Come see the softer side of…Salvatore.” [Ed. Note: He has us all cracking up]
It’s tough, because there has to be truth and there’s a lot of real pain buried in that humor and that sort of the maniacal killer in him is starting to wane by virtue of the fact that again, not to sound like a broken record, all the stakes have been raised because he cares about people now. There are stakes.

New interviews with Julie and Steven + more Zap2it’s set videos & TCA Tour quotes

Carina Mackenzie has posted two new video reports of her recent “Vampire Diaries” cast visits. In the first one, she chats to Katerina Graham about Damon and Bonnie. Kat shares her opinion on whether or not the two can become friends (or “more than that”), Ian Somerhalder himself and her character’s triangle with Jeremy and Luka. Read an extract here and the rest of the article (+ video) is up at Zap2it.

Meanwhile, Bonnie has her hands full juggling her feelings for Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Luka (Bryton James). “We’ll see how everything unfolds. I love where Bonnie is right now. I love that she’s with innocent Jeremy and they have this very innocence about them, and I love that connection, and think that a lot of kids can relate to that. Being that they’re friends first, and they’re really creating a foundation of friendship first, and trust, and then moving from there.”

The second report is related to Ian Somerhalder’s latest Twitter photo. It features Damon, new reporter in town Andie Star (who we wrote about last month) and third wheel Alaric. According to the actor himself, Andie is Damon’s new love interest. But don’t you think she’s acting on free will – Mr. Salvatore is compelling her, so that he can use her as a “blood source”. To learn more about Andie, head over to Zap2it or simply watch the video below.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Fanbolt and The TV Chick also posted their chats with Julie Plec and Steven R. McQueen, respectively. Julie answers fan questions, such as what’s Bonnie’s family history, what’s ahead for Bamon and Delena and how does Klaus’s casting go. There’s even a tiny little mention of the “Vampire Diaries” finale (of the season and the series both). Find the answers of all these questions over at Fanbolt. On the other hand, Steven talks to Alix about Jeremy’s development so far, his attitude to Bonnie and Elena as well as what we can look forward to in the second half of the season. Visit The TV Chick for the entire chat.

Finally, Teen Television has some more quotes from the Winter TCA Panel. Nina and Candice discuss their characters’ progress, what has drawn them to playing on a vampire show, what to expect in the near future and more. Check out the full story at Teen Television, thanks to Vampire-Diaries.net for the heads up!

Crying Wolf episode description, stills from 213 & 214 + new Stefan poster

Been dying for a Stefan poster? Well, your wish just came true. New January Sweeps poster (left) hit the Net a few days ago. In case the MQ version doesn’t please you, Blood Falls have it in high quality. Sorry, Damon, but there’s a reason he always gets the girl.

Many thanks to VampireSite.net for revealing the official description of episode 14, “Crying Wolf”. It airs February 10th and promises to be very interesting.

SECRETS AND LIES – Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) get away for what they hope will be a romantic weekend at the Gilbert family lake house, not realizing that they’ve been followed. Jenna (Sara Canning) starts to worry that Alaric (Matt Davis) isn’t being honest with her. Jules (guest star Michaela McManus) explains the importance of the sun and moon curse to Tyler (Michael Trevino), but leaves out an important detail. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) attends a tea at the Historical Society in order to talk to Elijah (guest star Daniel Gillies), but Elijah isn’t giving up any secrets. With help from Caroline (Candice Accola) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), Bonnie (Katerina Graham) uses deceptive measures to get shocking new information out of Luka (guest star Bryton James). Finally, Tyler offers Matt (Zach Roerig) some relationship advice.

David Von Ancken directed the episode written by Brian Young.

As if the synopsis wasn’t enough to thrill us, Nina Dobrev Network has two stills from the February 10th episode. You can check them out in her gallery. Let the celebrations begin, Stelena fans! And in case you haven’t wished NDN happy 1st anniversary yet, head over to her site to do it. 🙂

The CW has released images from “Daddy Issues” as well. Credit goes to Andrea, again. There are some previews below, all the stills are up over at Vampire Diaries Web. Looks like Tyler fans will join Stelena ones in their happiness.

Spoilers galore: Vampire Diaries in EW, Plec spills to TV Guide & TV Fanatic, PopWatch previews Damon’s bedroom + more

This week has brought “Vampire Diaries” fans a lot of scoop. First, Mega Buzz posted an interesting snippet from Julie Plec saying “the vampire-werewolf conflict is going to go from a simmer to a boil.” The executive producer also comments on Tyler and Jules’s relationship status, visit TV Guide for the entire story.

Julie Plec talked to one more TV Guide reporter – Carita Rizo. In Julie’s chat with her (which you can find here), she discusses Klaus (how surprising, isn’t it?), how the curse will affect Rose and everyone else as well as what’s ahead for Damon and Elena.

Gabrielle Compolongo posted part two of her interview with Plec. The writer compares Klaus vs. Elijah, teases the Originals, the Katherine-stuck-in-the-tomb situation, Luka and his dad, etc. Plus, she answers the question whether Elena and Damon will ever get together. Head over to TV Fanatic to find out, but first, read on to understand what you can look forward to when the show returns.

In a summation, what can you tell us about the second half of season two?
We’ve set a lot of things in motion, and we’re going to come to the end of what we’re calling our werewolf chapter, which will really take that story to a really dark place and really change a lot of characters’ lives, not necessarily in a good way. We are going to dig deeper into the secrets of our new witches and what Bonnie’s role is going to be in their story, and of course, it’s all about the fear of the impending Klaus, and who’s going to be fighting on who’s side, who’s bond is with who, who’s going to betray whom, and is this curse going to be lifted at the hands of a sacrifice that would kill Elena. We’re full steam ahead.

Los Angeles Times has a nice review of Nina’s quotes said at the CW Winter TCA Panel and Party last week. The actress comments on playing the very different from one another Elena and Katherine. She also shares her speculations about whether or not Ms. Pierce will come out of the tomb, if  Elena will keep her promise to Elijah and more. Read the full article at Show Tracker.

Ian Somerhalder hasn’t dallied, too. He recently revealed PopWatch what Damon’s bedroom looked like. Kevin and Julie joined him to talk about his character’s bathroom. According to them, there will be a bath scene in one episode, and a shower scene in the next. We couldn’t ask for more, could we? Check out the rest of the interview over at Entertainment Weekly.

“The Vampire Diaries” is also featured in the latest issue of EW. The Salvatore Boarding House has the spread in HQ, and Vampire-Diaries.net published a great recap of the major hints. Both the scans and the article are up at their site.
