Episode 20 & 22 (season finale!) titles, additional stills from season 2

Spoiler TV has recently revealed the CW primetime schedule for the entire season. Thank God, there won’t be any other breaks this year until after the finale. The schedule also shows episode 20 title – “The Last Day”. Last dance, last day… poor Mystic Falls residents, I would say!

Plus, Ian Somerhalder announced the start of season 2 finale shooting yesterday. Right after that, he tweeted a photo of his own copy of the script (right). It is titled “As I Lay Dying”, written by TBD and directed by John Behring (“Plan B”, “The Last Dance”). I’m with mixed feelings about this – happy that the cast will be finally able to catch a break, but also sad that it’s that time of the year again.

It’s here-Season finale episode (ep222) of TVD.Wow,44 episodes in 24 months.Almost 3pm,got out of bed,coffee and new script- awesomeness…

Andrea at Vampire Diaries Web has added yet another batch of extra stills and BTS pictures to their gallery. There are images from almost every single episode so far as well as a few from next week’s “Know Thy Enemy”. They’re honestly awesome, so be sure to visit the site and look through them!

UPDATE:

Vampire-Diaries.net reported the last unknown season 2 episode title last night. According to them, episode 21 will be the one where “The Sun Also Rises”. Vee also let her imagination loose and shared her thoughts on the recently revealed titles. Check them all out here. Some really interesting references there!

E! Online, Zap2it, CW Source & more: Interviews with Ian, Steven, Michael and Dawn Olivieri

Lots of interviews were released within the past few days, mostly with Steven R. McQueen and Ian Somerhalder. First, these two chatted to E! Online. They talk about what’s ahead for their characters and their crushes. Klaus gets an honorable mention, too. Check both articles out at Watch with Kristin.

On the other hand, Zap2it takes on the latest events around Jeremy and Tyler. Carina Mackenzie‘s chat with Steven can be found over at their site. For more from the actor, visit Buddy TV, TV Line, PopWrap and Chicago Now.

Carina’s video with Michael Trevino is here. Be careful – it contains major spoilers for last night’s episode!

Trevino also answers questions picked from Cambio‘s fishbowl. Watch the video over at their site. Don’t worry, it doesn’t contain any spoilers.

CW Source interviews Michael as well. He discusses Tyler’s first werewolf transformation, the filming process behind it and Candice Accola’s contribution.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Finally, Ian Somerhalder spills up to Robyn Ross about Damon and his latest girlfriend, Andie Star. And Dawn Olivieri herself dishes about her character’s romance with the elder Salvatore brother at Hollywood Life.

Zap2it & EW: More tidbits from the Vampire Diaries cast

Zap2it‘s @cadlymack hasn’t been doing anything but teasing us this week. Following her video interviews with Kat and Ian, fellow “Vampire Diaries” fan published new snippets from Wesley and Dobrev as well as clips featuring Somerhalder and Trevino (click to check them out).

Before things go terribly wrong, fans of Stefan and Elena as a couple will be pleased to see some sweet, happy moments, including an emotional scene where they discuss the reality of Elena’s mortality. After all, if Elena remains human, she is inevitably going to age and someday die — while Stefan will stay 17 forever. “There’s a lovely scene that we do at the lake house discussing that,” Wesley says. “Touching lightly upon it without hitting you over the head, you know what I mean? It’s really kind of beautiful.”

Read the rest of the chat with Paul here.

“She feels like everyone around her is against her,” Dobrev says. “She has one thing in mind: she wants to sacrifice herself to save her family and her friends, and they are hell-bent on stopping her. It almost feels like everyone is against her. Now, her father comes home on top of everything, and he’s in cahoots with everyone about it.”

The entire Nina interview – at Zap2it.

EW‘s recently caught up with Michael Trevino and Ian Somerhalder, too. Michael speculates what could happen when already too confused Tyler finds about the Sun and the Moon curse. The actor also spoils his character will have some serious choices to make rather sooner than later – and they will have quite an impact on vampires and werewolves both. Visit PopWatch for the full story.

On the other hand, Ian talks about filming while having walking pneumonia. As you probably remember, Mr. Somerhalder was sick in the last two months of 2010 – in other words, from episode 9 to 12. Despite that fact, he didn’t go home (as normal people would do), but continue shooting. Marcos Siega’s return and the possibility of “Vampire Diaries” set cursed are also mentioned. Find the whole article over at Inside TV.

Oh, and there’s a “Where Were We” slideshow up at Entertainment Weekly. It includes tidbits from almost every cast member. Must read!

Nina and Candice at 2011 CW Winter TCA Panel & Party, January 14th

Last Friday, Nina Dobrev and Candice Accola spoke at the 2011 Winter TCA Press Tour: “Kick-Ass Women of the CW” Panel. They joined Hellcats’ Aly Michalka, Maggie Q and Lyndsy Fonseca from Nikita as well as Smallville’s Erica Durance. They all looked marvellous, so much beauty in one place! Executive producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec were there, too. After (I think) the panel, the stars attended The CW’s 2011 Winter TCA Party. Photos, recaps and interviews are all below. Click on the images to access various picture galleries, such as Vampire Diaries Web‘s, Nina Dobrev Network‘s and Candice Accola Web‘s.

Last, but not least Eric Goldman at IGN tweeted a new “Vampire Diaries” poster. He came across it during the tour. There were “Smallville” and “Nikita” ones, too, just in case you’re curious. Keep your fingers crossed for a high quality version!

Candice Accola on Cambio Connect, talks to Fancast

Candice participates in “Long Story Short” and “Word Association Games” on Cambio Connect. Check out the video below for some fun, thanks to Candice Accola Web for the heads up!

Vodpod videos no longer available.

The actress also dished about the show with Fancast. She talks about how Caroline’s trasnformation into a vampire has changed her as well as her character’s relationship with Tyler and Matt both. Plus, Candice teases what’s to come in the “Vampire Diaries” return in January. Read a quote below and find the rest of the story at Fancast.

What was it like shooting Tyler’s transformation scenes? I read it was so grueling you asked the caterers to bring chocolate chip cookies to Michael Trevino afterward.
It was a very vulnerable setting for an actor, especially for a man.  It’s one thing to be emotionally vulnerable with all the crew around, and on top of that he wasn’t wearing many clothes.  All the chains that he had on were real chains.  It was two twelve to fourteen hour days of him screaming these gut wrenching screams and crying.  There’s these normal things that tend to happen on a set… a light blows out.  Here he gets into an emotional mode and he’s screaming and he’s crying and then it’s ‘Oh, we have to reset the light.’  Luckily we’ve got such an amazing and respectful, good-hearted crew.  He’d been so good about eating healthy. Of course it was the one day that whole week that there was sugar cookies [in craft services] and he knew it.  Luckily, craft services had some chocolate chip cookie dough left over [for afterward].  It’s important I think especially in the circumstance where you have a very heavy emotional scene, you have to know that everybody has your back.  That’s what the cookies were for.

TV Guide’s short chat with Julie Plec, Michael’s workout revealed

TV Guide recently sat down with executive producer Julie Plec to talk about “By the Light of the Moon”. Besides talking about the episode and Tyler’s transformation, Julie comments on the curse of the sun and the moon and Elena’s “suicidal tendency” (couldn’t say it better myself, Damon).

We now know that Tyler is but a piece of the puzzle that Klaus needs to break the vampire curse sealed by the blood of Elena’s ancestors. “Once it became personalized to Elena and she realized she was at the center of this curse, now suddenly it’s very much a human story of a girl trying to balance, ‘How do I save and protect the people I love? Is the right thing to do here to be a martyr? I’ve got all these people in my life willing to die for me; can I do the same for them?'” Plec says.

And Wetpaint have some more tidbits from their chat with Michael (feels like it has no end, not that it’s a bad thing). Here, he discusses how he got that awesome body. Finally some material for the male fans. Read a tease here and check out the entire story over at their site.

WP: How many crunches a day does it take to maintain Ty’s abs?
MT: Um. Uh. I don’t know. I don’t really keep count. Let’s just say a hundred. Yep. A hundred sounds good.

Michael Trevino talks nudity, Jules’s motives and scenes with Stefan & Damon: “It’s gonna get interesting.”

EW‘s Mandi Bierly chatted to Michael yesterday afternoon. They talk about Tyler’s recent transformation (BIG spoiler warning for the ones who haven’t seen episode 11 yet!), co-star Candice Accola, Jules a.k.a. latest Mystic Falls inhabitant and the Salvatore brothers. Trevino teases he’s shooting some scenes with those two as well as Damon’s bathtub scene. We got your attention? You can find a quote below and visit Inside TV for the entire story.

You were also excited the last time we talked because Tyler finally got a badass leather jacket to wear instead of a sweater. How is it treating you?
I will tell you right now, the episode that we’re shooting now is me in the leather jacket, and I love it. [Laughs] In this episode we’re filming right now, the good part of that episode for Tyler is scenes with me and Paul Wesley. Stefan and Tyler talk about Caroline. I’m excited to shoot that because it’s just me and Paul and a different scenario. I haven’t really worked with Paul yet, and to have a nice scene with a lot of dialogue, and it’s just me and him, and it’s not about actions and stunts, it’s just about good acting with the awesome writing of Brian Young, who did this episode, I’m looking forward to that.
