Paul Wesley is featured in Women’s Wear Dailytoday’s issue. Besides the awesome photoshoot, they had a nice, long talk. Excerpts can be found below. They discuss the vampire obsession giving through the generations, the success of the show, his character Stefan and more. Find the rest of the article as well as more photos at Lovely Sucks.
“Season one was incredibly taxing on me because I got a little too almost method and it got a little bit intense for me as far as affecting my personal being,” says Wesley (though obviously not literally method considering his character’s proclivities). “I’ve made a very conscientious decision to try not to take home what I do at work, which I was not really capable of at first. But I realized, this is a marathon, not a sprint, so I’m preparing myself for the long run.”
Courtesy of Lovely Sucks, we have one more image from Ian Somerhalder’s Collin Stark photoshoot. The first picture was released by Vegas Magazine and you can find it here. Looks like not only Matt’s eyes are “so blue”.
Plus, here are some more outtakes from the GQ Germany shoot of Paul and Ian’s, brought to you by Paul Wesley France. Check out a few below and visit their gallery for the entire set, it’s worth it!
Nina has done a cover shoot for Flare’s February 2011 issue lately. She has also opened up about the diary she’d love to read, her most memorable day and the best date she had. A snippet can be found below, read more over at Flare. For the rest of the interview, pick up Flare Magazine’s latest issue hitting newsstands January 10th.
The best date:
“It’s a toss up between two: “[In the first], I was supposed to have a date with someone, and at the last minute I had to fly to another city for business. Not only was he extremely understanding of the whole situation, but he surprised me by flying to meet me for dinner later that night. I was shocked at how far (literally) he would go to surprise, and spend time with me. It was very romantic. [In the second], after a long, extremely exhausting, and emotionally draining day on set, I got back home to find my boyfriend in the kitchen making me dinner. He handed me a glass of wine and walked me into the living room where there was a massage table set up. He said ‘You’ve had a rough day, I have a masseuse coming to the house in a few minutes and after you’re finished with your massage dinner will be ready.’ I almost died. That is what I call romantic and thoughtful.”
E! Online‘s Kristin has posted her spoiler chat this week. Vampire Diaries questions are included, again. This time, they’re about Klaus and Bonnie & Jeremy. Kristin has actually met Katerina Graham recently, so stay tuned for their chat! Speaking of E! Online, the show has made it to the final four in their Best TV Show of 2010 poll. It’s down to ABC’s “Castle” and “The Vampire Diaries”. Be sure to head over to Watch With Kristin and vote! This round closes on Tuesday, December 28th at 11AM PST. The next one will be up the same day.
@Elliemacb (via Twitter): Any news on Vampire Diaries‘ Klaus? Have they cast him yet? Any other scoops on TVD?
No Klaus yet. I hear casting him is a tall task because the dude has to be intimidating enough to make even Damon “shake in his boots,” per Ian Somerhalder. “[Klaus] is the most powerful,” Ian tells me. “He’s the guy you don’t want to be in a room with. Ever…In order to kill these guys [the originals], there’s such a process.”
Indigo: I am really loving Bonnie and Jeremy on The Vampire Diaries. But do they stand a chance at real coupledom?
That is one question we will tackle tomorrow during a shopping trip with Bonnie herself, Katerina Graham. (A girl’s gotta get her scoop in while Xmas shopping, right? What’s that thing about the birds and the stone?) Any more questions you have for Katerina? Send ‘em to firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet me @KristinDSantos.

Following part 1 of her interview with the actors, Carina Mackenzie has posted one more video today. In this part, Tyler’s transformation is a burden. Candice also talks about her character’s turning into a vampire and what it was like. A quote can be found below. Read the entire article and watch a video over at Zap2it.
Of course, our new favorite monster duo didn’t want to give away all the secrets, but they told us as much as they could without spoiling their fun. “How can you explain it?” Trevino says. “It’s Tyler going through this crazy struggle. It’s like he’s being reborn, because you have Tyler and the journey that he went through before this transformation, before this curse, and he doesn’t want any part of it, but he has no choice — it’s just happening. He’s alone and by himself because Mason isn’t around, so it’s just this constant struggle, just eating at him.”
Also, Steven R. McQueen is featured in Vanity Fair January 2011 (Johnny Depp on the cover). Elena’s on-screen brother discusses his childhood and how he decided to follow his grandfather’s footsteps. On choosing between “Melrose Place” and “The Vampire Diaries”, the two TV shows he has starred in, the actor chooses the latter. Visit Vanity Fair to find out why and check out the hot shot of McQueen below.
