Klaus (219): Behind the scenes peek, song list & ratings

Thanks to PopWrap for offering this behind the scenes look from last episode. It shows the 1492 version of the Stefan/Elena/Damon trio, also known as Klaus, Katherine and Elijah. What do you think about human Katherine? Or should I say Katerina? 😉

Chris Mollere doesn’t stop keeping us updated with the latest “Vampire Diaries” music. He didn’t miss to tweet the tracks featured in “Klaus”, too. Check out the complete song list now and go here for previous ones.

1. Foster The People “Helena Beat” – Amazon US
2. Doves “Compulsion” – Amazon US, Amazon UK
3. Lykke Li “Get Some” – Amazon US, Amazon UK

Finally, here are the episode ratings. They were a little down again, gaining 2.65 million viewers. On the eve of Good Friday, a lot of networks ran repeats and the ratings were unusually low. That’s normal considering the holidays, so don’t worry. The show is most likely to be renewed for third season and you’ll be able to watch your favourites this fall as well. 🙂

CW also ran originals. Vampire Diaries was down 0.2 versus last week with a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating. Nikita was even with another 0.8 adults 18-49 rating.

THURSDAY FINAL RATINGS – AT TV BY THE NUMBERS.

Episode 20 & 22 (season finale!) titles, additional stills from season 2

Spoiler TV has recently revealed the CW primetime schedule for the entire season. Thank God, there won’t be any other breaks this year until after the finale. The schedule also shows episode 20 title – “The Last Day”. Last dance, last day… poor Mystic Falls residents, I would say!

Plus, Ian Somerhalder announced the start of season 2 finale shooting yesterday. Right after that, he tweeted a photo of his own copy of the script (right). It is titled “As I Lay Dying”, written by TBD and directed by John Behring (“Plan B”, “The Last Dance”). I’m with mixed feelings about this – happy that the cast will be finally able to catch a break, but also sad that it’s that time of the year again.

It’s here-Season finale episode (ep222) of TVD.Wow,44 episodes in 24 months.Almost 3pm,got out of bed,coffee and new script- awesomeness…

Andrea at Vampire Diaries Web has added yet another batch of extra stills and BTS pictures to their gallery. There are images from almost every single episode so far as well as a few from next week’s “Know Thy Enemy”. They’re honestly awesome, so be sure to visit the site and look through them!

UPDATE:

Vampire-Diaries.net reported the last unknown season 2 episode title last night. According to them, episode 21 will be the one where “The Sun Also Rises”. Vee also let her imagination loose and shared her thoughts on the recently revealed titles. Check them all out here. Some really interesting references there!

Chat galore: TV Fanatic’s set visit, Julie Plec on what’s next for Damon, Zap2it talks to Nina + more

TV Fanatic‘s Gabrielle Compolongo paid a visit to the “Vampire Diaries” set last month. She posted a review of her experience as well as photos with the cast. Except hanging around in Atlanta, Gabrielle talked to Ian Somerhalder about season 2, Elena vs. Katherine and what Damon would do for the woman he loves. Both parts can be found at her blog.

In addition to EW’s 60’s style slideshow, Mandi Bierly has more quotes from Julie Plec. She particularly comments on Elena and Stefan’s reaction when they learn about Damon’s compulsion on reporter Andie Star. The raising tension between the Salvatore brothers is also mentioned. Read an excerpt here and go to Inside TV for the rest of the story.

The tension between the Salvatore Brothers will also continue to rise, Plec says, as they find themselves on opposite ends of a debate about the best methods to protect Elena. “I am fully a Team Salvatore shipper. I want the brothers to be brothers, and to love each other, and to be good to each other always, but that’s part of the journey of the show,” Plec says. “When you’ve got two guys who have feelings for the same girl, that’s not gonna be easy. And it starts to become particularly complicated as we get to the end of the season.”

Buffyfest met Andrew Chambliss during WonderCon’s Dark Horse Panel yesterday. Just in case you didn’t know, the writer is also working on Buffy’s season 9. He talks about writing for it and “Dollhouse” in general, but there are some “Vampire Diaries” questions, too. Great interview, especially for fans of “Buffy”! Check it all out here.

Carina Mackenzie definitely doesn’t waste her time. Besides chatting with Candice, the interviewer caught up with Nina Dobrev. The actress dishes on Damon’s influence in her character’s life, Elena’s immortality, etc. Watch a sneak peek below and stay tuned to Zap2it for more from your favourites.

Klaus (219) episode description + first look, EW’s sneak peek at The Last Dance

The summary of probably the most anticipated episode this season came out last night. It’s titled “Klaus” and airs Thursday, April 21st. That’s when the Original will come out of the dark, as Ausiello teased in February. And guess what? Apart from Klaus’ debut, the episode will also include flashbacks to 1491 (hello there, Elijah!). Excited much?

KLAUS (GUEST STAR JOSEPH MORGAN, “BEN HUR”) IS REVEALED — Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) are furious when they discover that Elena (Nina Dobrev) has defied them both to make a new ally and take control of the plan to out-maneuver Klaus (Morgan). Disagreement over how to protect Elena leads to growing tension between the Salvatore brothers. Meanwhile, Stefan has his hands full trying to keep a confused and frightened Jenna (Sara Canning) safe. Flashbacks to 1491 reveal Katherine’s (Nina Dobrev) introduction to Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Klaus, along with the origin of the moonstone curse. Elena learns shocking new information about Klaus’ motives.

Matt Davis also stars.

Many thanks to the amazing Judy Yam for tweeting this premiere still from “Klaus” (left). The description doesn’t lie – things between the Salvatore brothers are looking tense, indeed.

Finally, EW has an exclusive sneak peek at the April 14th episode of “The Vampire Diaries”. It includes quotes from executive producer Julie Plec as well as new stills from the 1960s Decade Dance. Beware of spoilers! Looks like everyone is waiting for Klaus to arrive. But don’t get too excited – they will be disappointed.

Official synopsis & images for The Last Dance (218) + new Know Thy Enemy stills

VampireSite.net posted the episode description for episode 18, “The Last Dance” a few days ago. It airs April 14th, a week after the show’s return. And the following week (April 21st), the much anticipated Klaus’ debut will be finally here. Mystic Falls’ citizens better enjoy their last fun evening out for a while… but what if it’s really last for anyone?

DANCING WITH DANGER — As the high school prepares to throw a “1960s Decade Dance,” Elena (Nina Dobrev) starts receiving disturbing messages from Klaus via an unusual source. Bonnie (Katerina Graham) tries to reassure Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) that she is strong enough to help Elena, but a worried Jeremy asks Stefan (Paul Wesley) for advice. Caroline (Candice Accola) talks Matt (Zach Roerig) into taking her to the dance. Expecting Klaus to show up at the dance, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Alaric (Matt Davis) attend as chaperones, but Klaus is playing a complicated game that keeps them on edge. Finally, Damon comes up with a new plan of action that shocks and upsets everyone.

John Behring directed the episode written by Michael Narducci.

There are also “The Last Dance” stills up at VampireSite.net. All of Stefan & Elena, with Damon in the background. In case these two are not your favourites, Vampire Diaries Web has more HQ images as well as a couple of BTS photos. Still wondering where Andie is…

In addition to all these goodies, VDW got their hands on 10+ new pictures from “Know Thy Enemy”. They contain pretty big spoilers, so be careful. And if you have some time to spare, the girls uploaded over 100 brand new stills from season one and two both yesterday. These are worth checking out, trust me. 😉

Behind the scenes of tonight’s episode, possible season 2 finale date

Many thanks to Judy Yam (once again!) for releasing a behind the scenes image from tonight’s episode, “The Dinner Party”. It shows Damon and dirty Stefan in the Salvatore broading house back in time.

TV Fanatic is reporting the season finale dates for The CW Network’s shows, including “The Vampire Diaries”. According to the site, the final episode of season 2 will air May 12th. Considering last season’s finale date, I believe we can trust TV Fanatic on this one (like any other ;)).

New Nina season 2 promos, BTS of episode 12 & 13, Comic-Con portraits + more cast photos

Quite a lot of pictures of the “Vampire Diaries” cast surfaced in the last few days. To start off, @HeyJude012 has revealed a brand new promo of Nina. In addition to it, Nina Dobrev Network has one more image from the shoot.

After Ms. Perfection №1 comes №2. Kat Graham attended Entertainment Weekly 2011 Pre-SAG Party along with Michael Trevino. Photos of her are up over at Vampire Diaries Web and visit Michael Trevino Fan for Michael ones. In case these are not enough for you, there’s a video interview with them in our last interview round-up.

Trevino has showed up at Hennessy Privilege Intime Dinner (click for pictures) as well. Thanks to Michael-Trevino.org for supplying us with photos, again!

To make your day even better, we have some images of Steven for you, too! He has visited a few Sundance Film Festival events. Find several images at VDW. Plus, Steven R. McQueen Online uploaded some more in their gallery (folder 1 and folder 2).

Behind the scenes pics have been released, too. Judy Yam has a funny “Nian” shot from “The Descent”. PopWrap has published a BTS pic from the same episode as well as another from “Daddy Issues”.

To end up with the behind the scenes stuff, ELLE has posted a video from Nina Dobrev’s photoshoot. She comments on the differences between Elena and Katherine and making out with almost every guy on the show. Head over to Elle’s site to see her spread. She’s so beautiful, new outtakes better come out soon!

Thirsty for candids? Well, here are some! Dobrev was seen shopping in LA on January 18th. A few days later, she and Ian Somerhalder departed from LAX. They may be old, but still great to look at. Many thanks to Undisclosed Desires!

Finally, new EW portraits from last year’s Comic Con hit the Net this morning. These are definitely worth checking out! 30+ portraits can be found in Nina Dobrev Fans’s gallery. Long live, purple pants LOL!

EDIT: Candice Accola Web has also posted new/old scans of the actress in CH2 October 2010. Candice looks absolutely smashing, go to CAW for her six page feature. The issue is available online as well.

Old behind the scenes photo from an upcoming ep, new Vampire Diaries spoilers

A new behind the scenes image surfaced a while ago, thanks to Judy Yam. Since they haven’t started filming episode 14 yet, I guess it’s from 213 “The Descent”. Now, enjoy these yummy boys! One more month to go. Duh…

Also, Katerina Graham spilled to TV Guide. According to her, there will be a flashback (or two?) from the Grim Reaper where “a lot of people are dying”. Expect Elena’s sibling suitors’ backstory to be revealed as well.

When will we get more backstory on The Vampire Diaries— Maxine
NATALIE:
An upcoming flashback to 1864 will give Elena a new perspective on her sibling suitors. Before then, though, expect a visit or two from the Grim Reaper. “A lot of people are dying,” Katerina Graham tells us. “Not, like, too many, where it’s like, ‘Why are all these people dying?’ But a couple of important characters are going to go.”
