Nina Dobrev has admitted she’s glad she can keep her clothes on in The Vampire Diaries.
The 21-year-old, who plays Elena in the ITV2 show, is happy the show isn’t as raunchy as fellow vampire series True Blood.
“I’m very content with not being nude on national television – I enjoy True Blood myself and I watch the show but I’m happy that bra and underwear is as stripped down as I can get for the show,” she said.
Nina denied there was any rivalry between their show and True Blood, as well as blockbuster franchise Twilight.
“I don’t think that we’re necessarily competitors. We’re all kind of in the same genre – there are vampires within all the series – but they are all very different. It’s like apples and oranges,” she explained.
“True Blood is racier and a little bit older. Twilight is on the big screen whereas we are in that in-between zone. We’re all very supportive of each other.”
She added: “I have friends in all three of the shows that are vampire related, so I’m very happy for all of our successes.”
:: The Vampire Diaries is shown on Tuesdays at 9pm on ITV2, and is also available on iTunes.
