As I Lay Dying (222, season finale!) trailer + Mystic Diaries latest part

It’s here, folks. After this Thursday’s airing of “The Sun Also Rises”, there’s just one episode left for season two. In case you’ve been living in a cage for the last couple of weeks, you should know that it’s has the rather ominous title “As I Lay Dying”. Synopsis and stills can be found in the sidebar. And thaks to Vampire-Diaries.net for the heads up that the song used in the promo is called “Ship of Fools” by FirstCom Music. It’s not available for download, but you can still listen to it at the company’s site.

WARNING: There’s a character back, which makes this trailer even more spoilery than usual. Steer clear unless you like spoilers.

Last week, another part of Mystic Diaries series was released. In it, Nina Dobrev and Candice Accola take you behind the scenes of episode 18 and 20. Michael, Ian, John Cockman (Alaric’s stunt coordinator) and Matt himself also appear. Check out more gabryssskaaa’s videos on her channel and visit The Vampire Diaries Lair for previous parts.

Additional stills from The Last Dance (218) and Klaus (219)

The awesome Andrea over at Nina Dobrev Network has added some new stills to the gallery. They’re from episode 18 and 19 and feature Elena and Katherine both. Click on the previews below to see all of them. I will say one thing: beautiful cast is beautiful.

Paul & Candice magazine features + Mystic Diaries next part

Paul Wesley and Candice Accola have been recently featured in various magazines. First, Paul has posed for this month’s InStyle. There’s a nice interview in addition to it, including quotes from Paul’s female co-stars. Credit to Paul Wesley Web for the scans.

On the other hand, candicefans on LiveJournal got their paws on some old scans. Looks like the actress was named for CBS Watch‘s Face of the Winter. Thanks to Candice Accola Web for the heads up! For more make-up tips, visit CBS Watch Magazine.

And here’s more on-set goodness from The Vampire Diaries Lair. Nina Dobrev and Zach Roerig take us behind the scenes of “The Last Dance” once again. Kat, Candice, Marguerite and Paul’s back (which is definitely not something you can miss) also make a cameo. Oh, and Bonnie’s magic is revealed. YouTube versions thanks to Vampire Diaries Poland.

Ian Somerhalder, Candice Accola and more on MTV’s The Seven & 10 on Top

A few hours before episode 18 airing last Thursday, the cast appeared on MTV‘s The Seven. Candice, Katerina, Ian, Paul and Nina all discussed “The Last Dance” and the Stefan/Elena/Damon love triangle.

Plus, Ian Somerhalder was #2 on another MTV show, 10 on Top (blame it on Damon’s dance moves). He and Candice gush about leather pants, British guys *cough, Klaus*, etc. You can hear more about Ian’s “True Blood” audition at 10 on Top’s official site.

Song list & ratings of The Last Dance (218), this week’s Klaus promo

There were quite a lot of tracks featured on “Vampire Diaries” last Thursday, as Chris Mollere promised. And they’re all revealed now, thanks to him again. Click on the links next to each one to download it. Huge thanks to Trent Dabbs for offering his version of “Last Kiss” for free download!

A few hours after the airing of the episode, TV by the Numbers posted its ratings. They’re a little higher than past week, but still unusually low. As much as I hate to say it, I’m disappointed again.

The CW’s The Vampire Diaries stayed at its season low 1.2 adults 18-49 rating, while Nikita rose a tenth vs. last week to a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating.

Long live, one-minute trailers! The CW continues to surprise us (nicely, of course) by uploading longer and longer promos. Here’s “Klaus” one, featuring the entire Scooby-Doo gang. Englishmen! Flashbacks! Originals! Is this real life?

Interview round-up: TVD cast talks season 3, Zap2it sits down with Ian + Steven, Kat & Candice chats

I’m back and so are interviews! In anticipation of this week’s episode, a few chats have been released. Enjoy some excerpts below, more can be found at the links above them. They obviously don’t contain any spoilers for those who have already watched “The Last Dance”, but the rest must be careful.

TV Guide: Vampire Diaries’ Katerina Graham: “If Bonnie Ever Went Down, She’d Go Down with a Fight”

As previews show, Bonnie chooses to confront Klaus and prove that her powers are no joke. Still, Graham says, she’s not immune to typical teen insecurities. “Bonnie is filled with fear. She’s still only a 17-year-old girl and [is] scared, but is able to move forward and face her fears. That’s where her head is at: She can be scared out of her mind, but she presses forward and will do what she has to do.”

Part 2 of Zap2it’s Kat Graham interview, Julie Plec on Klaus’s debut

As you all know, Carina Mackenzie visited the set of the show in Atlanta last month. In addition to the first part of her interview with Katerina, the reporter released part two. The actress talks mostly about her music career, future projects and charity. Check out the video here or over at Zap2it.

EP Julie Plec has given some interviews this week. In this chat with Inside TV, she dishes about Klaus’s arrival, last week’s big twists and season 2 casualties. Head over to Entertainment Weekly for the whole article. HUGE spoiler warning to international fans, who haven’t seen episode 17 yet.

And now that we like Uncle John after he and Elena had their heart-to-heart, is Elena’s birth father going to die, too? “I have been waiting for a year for somebody to say, ‘Oh, I really like uncle John now,’ because we knew that we just had to find that pocket moment where [he and Elena] could connect on a real level, and we’ve been building to that very slowly and very subtly,” Plec laughs. “That, I swear to god, is one of my favorite scenes of the whole season.” Notice she didn’t answer our question…

She has also chatted to XFinity TV (Fancast’s new site name)’s Sara Bibel. Julie teases Mystic Falls’ 1960s decade dance, the countdown to Klaus, Tyler’s return and more. You can read an extract below, the entire story is up here. Beware of spoilers.

Every “Vampire Diaries” fan has his or her favorite couple. What can you tell me about the couples in Mystic Falls?
All the couples are about to realize that on the horizon there are difficult times in their relationship, for different reasons. Every relationship will be tested. Choices will be made. Things will change.

Mystic Diaries: Behind the scenes with Nina Dobrev and Zach Roerig

Remember that Mystic Diaries series present by AT&T back in February? Well, here’s more from it. This time, The CW take you behind the scenes with Nina Dobrev and Zach Roerig. Ian, Kat, Candice and Steven are also featured. You can see the videos either here or in The Vampire Diaries Lair. There’s mostly on-set footage from “The Last Dance”. Thanks, Vampire Diaries Poland!

Zap2it’s video chats with Sara & Zach: Personal growth, twists and turns

Zap2it‘s @cadlymack continues to please “Vampire Diaries” fans with her set reports. She posted her chat with Sara Canning last night. The actress opens up about the fall-out of Isobel’s arrival, the men in Jenna’s life, which way she’s going to go, etc. You can watch the interview over at Zap2it.

“It’s kind of hard to say what needs to happen now, or what prominent piece of story needs to happen that would fix that. I think we would see some significant Alaric and Jenna time in terms of them addressing their relationship and defining it.”

Just an hour after Know Thy Enemy’s airing, Carina released another on-set interview. This time, it features Zach Roerig. He comments on Matt’s growth, the recent events around him and his reaction to Tyler’s impending return. Play the video below for more scoop and Zach’s blue eyes.
