As I Lay Dying (222, season finale!) trailer + Mystic Diaries latest part

It’s here, folks. After this Thursday’s airing of “The Sun Also Rises”, there’s just one episode left for season two. In case you’ve been living in a cage for the last couple of weeks, you should know that it’s has the rather ominous title “As I Lay Dying”. Synopsis and stills can be found in the sidebar. And thaks to Vampire-Diaries.net for the heads up that the song used in the promo is called “Ship of Fools” by FirstCom Music. It’s not available for download, but you can still listen to it at the company’s site.

WARNING: There’s a character back, which makes this trailer even more spoilery than usual. Steer clear unless you like spoilers.

Last week, another part of Mystic Diaries series was released. In it, Nina Dobrev and Candice Accola take you behind the scenes of episode 18 and 20. Paul & Candice magazine features + Mystic Diaries next part

Paul Wesley and Candice Accola have been recently featured in various magazines. First, Paul has posed for this month’s InStyle. There’s a nice interview in addition to it, including quotes from Paul’s female co-stars. Credit to Paul Wesley Web for the scans.

Ian Somerhalder, Candice Accola and more on MTV’s The Seven & 10 on Top

A few hours before episode 18 airing last Thursday, the cast appeared on MTV‘s The Seven. Candice, Katerina, Ian, Paul and Nina all discussed “The Last Dance” and the Stefan/Elena/Damon love triangle.

Plus, Ian Somerhalder was #2 on another MTV show, 10 on Top (blame it on Damon’s dance moves). He and Candice gush about leather pants, British guys *cough, Klaus*, etc. You can hear more about Ian’s “True Blood” audition at 10 on Top’s official site.

A few hours after the airing of the episode, TV by the Numbers posted its ratings. They’re a little higher than past week, but still unusually low. As much as I hate to say it, I’m disappointed again.

The CW’s The Vampire Diaries stayed at its season low 1.2 adults 18-49 rating, while Nikita rose a tenth vs. last week to a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating.

Long live, one-minute trailers! The CW continues to surprise us (nicely, of course) by uploading longer and longer promos. Here’s “Klaus” one, featuring the entire Scooby-Doo gang. Englishmen! Flashbacks! Originals! Is this real life?

Interview round-up: TVD cast talks season 3, Zap2it sits down with Ian + Steven, Kat & Candice chats

I’m back and so are interviews! In anticipation of this week’s episode, a few chats have been released. Enjoy some excerpts below, more can be found at the links above them. They obviously don’t contain any spoilers for those who have already watched “The Last Dance”, but the rest must be careful.

TV Guide: Vampire Diaries’ Katerina Graham: “If Bonnie Ever Went Down, She’d Go Down with a Fight”

As previews show, Bonnie chooses to confront Klaus and prove that her powers are no joke. Still, Graham says, she’s not immune to typical teen insecurities. “Bonnie is filled with fear. She’s still only a 17-year-old girl and [is] scared, but is able to move forward and face her fears. That’s where her head is at: She can be scared out of her mind, but she presses forward and will do what she has to do.”

Part 2 of Zap2it’s Kat Graham interview, Julie Plec on Klaus’s debut

As you all know, Carina Mackenzie visited the set of the show in Atlanta last month. In addition to the first part of her interview with Katerina, the reporter released part two. And now that we like Uncle John after he and Elena had their heart-to-heart, is Elena’s birth father going to die, too? “I have been waiting for a year for somebody to say, ‘Oh, I really like uncle John now,’ because we knew that we just had to find that pocket moment where [he and Elena] could connect on a real level, and we’ve been building to that very slowly and very subtly,” Plec laughs. “That, I swear to god, is one of my favorite scenes of the whole season.” Notice she didn’t answer our question…

Zap2it’s video chats with Sara & Zach: Personal growth, twists and turns

Zap2it‘s @cadlymack continues to please “Vampire Diaries” fans with her set reports. She posted her chat with Sara Canning last night. The actress opens up about the fall-out of Isobel’s arrival, the men in Jenna’s life, which way she’s going to go, etc. You can watch the interview over at Zap2it.

“It’s kind of hard to say what needs to happen now, or what prominent piece of story needs to happen that would fix that. I think we would see some significant Alaric and Jenna time in terms of them addressing their relationship and defining it.”
