Nina Dobrev interviews: EW, Hollywood Crush, TV Guide + new promotional photo

More and more interviews continue to pop up. This week, they have been mostly of Ms. Dobrev. They can be all found below and follow the links for the whole stories. Nina opens up about her “Vampire Diaries” co-stars, the characters she plays and the last two episodes of season 2. There are some pretty spoilery segments, so beware!

Inside TV: Nina Dobrev’s five teases for tonight’s ‘Vampire Diaries’ (and one big one for the season finale)

• Fans are talking about chemistry between Elena and Elijah (Daniel Gillies). Should we be? “We can obviously tell that there was something between Elijah and Katherine, and there is now something sort of building between Elena and Elijah. Is it the same thing that’s been going on with every guy who’s encountered Elena after having survived Katherine?” Dobrev asks. (She has no answer.) “It’s funny,” she says. “Daniel Gillies is such a sweetheart, and he’s so amazing and so funny, and we’re really, really good friends, so we have a lot of fun on set. That kind of chemistry and friendship definitely can be caught on camera. I’m glad that it plays.”

Hollywood Crush: Nina Dobrev Says Tonight’s ‘Vampire Diaries’ Ep Will Be ‘Very Sad, Epic’

“Paul Sommers is directing it,” Nina said. “And Paul Sommers is our director of photography, so he’s done every episode since the beginning, except the pilot. So it’s his directorial debut. And it’s really cool and we’re really excited for him.”

Spoilers galore: Klaus’s ritual, extreme loss of life + the year of the Originals

This season’s finale is coming closer and closer. The closer we get, the more chats surface. As we wrote yesterday, there was a press screening of last night’s episode on Wednesday. Most of the stories contain major spoilers for it (as well as the rest of the season), so I advise you not to read them unless you’ve seen it. This time, I decided to post just links to the articles since there are plenty of them and I feel like you’ll get a headache if there are segments from each one.

Interview round-up: TVD cast talks season 3, Zap2it sits down with Ian + Steven, Kat & Candice chats

I’m back and so are interviews! In anticipation of this week’s episode, a few chats have been released. Enjoy some excerpts below, more can be found at the links above them. They obviously don’t contain any spoilers for those who have already watched “The Last Dance”, but the rest must be careful.

TV Guide: Vampire Diaries’ Katerina Graham: “If Bonnie Ever Went Down, She’d Go Down with a Fight”

As previews show, Bonnie chooses to confront Klaus and prove that her powers are no joke. Still, Graham says, she’s not immune to typical teen insecurities. “Bonnie is filled with fear. She’s still only a 17-year-old girl and [is] scared, but is able to move forward and face her fears. That’s where her head is at: She can be scared out of her mind, but she presses forward and will do what she has to do.”

Mystic Diaries: Behind the scenes with Nina Dobrev and Zach Roerig

Remember that Mystic Diaries series present by AT&T back in February? Well, here’s more from it. This time, The CW take you behind the scenes with Nina Dobrev and Zach Roerig. Ian, Kat, Candice and Steven are also featured. You can see the videos either here or in The Vampire Diaries Lair. There’s mostly on-set footage from “The Last Dance”. Thanks, Vampire Diaries Poland!

TV Squad’s on-set video interview with The Vampire Diaries cast

The Show Girl visited the set of the show in Atlanta a while ago. She talked to Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Kat Graham and more while she was there. They talk mostly about Twitter, Paul’s recently made account and who gets credit for getting him to tweet. However, Steven R. McQueen still isn’t thinking of joining the social network. Not that it stops us from hoping. ;)

Episode 20 & 22 (season finale!) titles, additional stills from season 2

Spoiler TV has recently revealed the CW primetime schedule for the entire season. Thank God, there won’t be any other breaks this year until after the finale. The schedule also shows episode 20 title – “The Last Day”. Last dance, last day… poor Mystic Falls residents, I would say!

Plus, Ian Somerhalder announced the start of season 2 finale shooting yesterday. Right after that, he tweeted a photo of his own copy of the script (right). It is titled “As I Lay Dying”, written by TBD and directed by John Behring (“Plan B”, “The Last Dance”). I’m with mixed feelings about this – happy that the cast will be finally able to catch a break, but also sad that it’s that time of the year again.

It’s here-Season finale episode (ep222) of TVD.Wow,44 episodes in 24 months.Almost 3pm,got out of bed,coffee and new script- awesomeness…

Andrea at Vampire Diaries Web has added yet another batch of extra stills and BTS pictures to their gallery. There are images from almost every single episode so far as well as a few from next week’s “Know Thy Enemy”. They’re honestly awesome, so be sure to visit the site and look through them!

UPDATE:

Vampire-Diaries.net reported the last unknown season 2 episode title last night. According to them, episode 21 will be the one where “The Sun Also Rises”. Vee also let her imagination loose and shared her thoughts on the recently revealed titles. Check them all out here. Some really interesting references there!

Chat galore: TV Fanatic’s set visit, Julie Plec on what’s next for Damon, Zap2it talks to Nina + more

TV Fanatic‘s Gabrielle Compolongo paid a visit to the “Vampire Diaries” set last month. She posted a review of her experience as well as photos with the cast. Except hanging around in Atlanta, Gabrielle talked to Ian Somerhalder about season 2, Elena vs. Katherine and what Damon would do for the woman he loves. Both parts can be found at her blog.

In addition to EW’s 60’s style slideshow, Mandi Bierly has more quotes from Julie Plec. She particularly comments on Elena and Stefan’s reaction when they learn about Damon’s compulsion on reporter Andie Star. The raising tension between the Salvatore brothers is also mentioned. Read an excerpt here and go to Inside TV for the rest of the story.

The tension between the Salvatore Brothers will also continue to rise, Plec says, as they find themselves on opposite ends of a debate about the best methods to protect Elena. “I am fully a Team Salvatore shipper. I want the brothers to be brothers, and to love each other, and to be good to each other always, but that’s part of the journey of the show,” Plec says. “When you’ve got two guys who have feelings for the same girl, that’s not gonna be easy. And it starts to become particularly complicated as we get to the end of the season.”

Buffyfest met Andrew Chambliss during WonderCon’s Dark Horse Panel yesterday. Just in case you didn’t know, the writer is also working on Buffy’s season 9. He talks about writing for it and “Dollhouse” in general, but there are some “Vampire Diaries” questions, too. Great interview, especially for fans of “Buffy”! Check it all out here.

Carina Mackenzie definitely doesn’t waste her time. Besides chatting with Candice, the interviewer caught up with Nina Dobrev. The actress dishes on Damon’s influence in her character’s life, Elena’s immortality, etc. Watch a sneak peek below and stay tuned to Zap2it for more from your favourites.

TVD EyeCon 2011: Q&As with Paul, Ian, Steven, Michael + Rob Pralgo

Most of the main “Vampire Diaries” guys attended TVD EyeCon convention this past weekend. Some of the attendees were kind enough to post photos and videos from the Q&A sessions. Vampire-Diaries.net and Vampire Diaries Online were also there. Each of them posted their own recap which you can read here and here. But first, enjoy all the material below.

Paul Wesley attends That Championship Season premiere, Ian Somerhalder at Cosmopolitan’s Fun Fearless Males + Kat & Steven appearances

Our lovely cast definitely don’t waste their time! Paul, Ian, Kat and Steven have been photographed at various events this month. First of all, Wesley attended “That Championship Season” Broadway opening night. He posed with girlfriend, Torrey DeVitto, who was also there. The following day (March 7th), Ian visited Cosmopolitan Magazine’s Fun Fearless Males of 2011. Photos, courtesy of Paul Wesley France and Vampire Diaries Web. There are also videos from the Cosmopolitan party after the break.

On the other hand, Katerina Graham and Steven R. McQueen visited some film premieres this month. She attended Have a Heart for Children fundraising to help raising money for children suffering from cancer. Learn more for the foundation at their official site. Short promo for Know Thy Enemy (217), Mystic Diaries part 2 & 3

Thanks a bunch to CWtelevision for uploading the official promo for episode 17, “Know Thy Enemy”. According to it, “The Vampire Diaries” will return all new on April 7th. Watch the video below and get ready for a long, long hiatus (sad, but true). Be careful – huge spoilers are huge.

Also, next two parts of AT&T’s “Mystic Diaries” coverage are up at The CW’s site. Candice Accola and Kat Graham represent us to a bunch of people “Vampire Diaries” wouldn’t be the same without. Basically, it’s a meet-the-cast-and-crew mission. ;)
